Thank you so much for this video. I’m starting a small studio this summer (when it stops raining) and was stressing on how to do my floor. This has been a big help. My walls are going to be adobe. We sit on meters deep of clay, so l might as well use what nature has provided for me. The neighbours have kindly donated their old grog bottles 🤣🤣🤣
I've been asked about the total cost to build this and can confirm it came in at around the $18k mark, including concrete base, carpet etc. Few things to consider though - it was started in 2021 just before wood prices skyrocketed, my Dad is a builder so got some professional help for free, Clint has a lot of the tools needed already from both his work and jobs he already does around the place, along with being in the trade we did get discounts on some things and also did a lot of bargain-hunting! Clint was also able to do a lot of the electrical work himself and just had a friend of ours do the sign-off. It help to be in the trade and/or know people! My parents kindly donated the paint as it was leftover from their renovations which was also a cost-saver and as mentioned in the video all the wall insulation was from stripping down old air conditioning ducts of insulation!
Would certainly have been easier lol! Lucky we had people who knew what they were doing on hand though and ended up a bit cheaper to DIY, but won't be the same for everyone 🙂
10:15 you don't iron my trousers & shirts like that dear........that's coz you don't have any dear.......True that guess what I want for christmas?.......to sleep on the couch?

Personally I'd have just bought a sleepout off of someone and got it delivered all in one piece. I aint good with building and stuff.
