Glad you enjoy Ray!
You guys are an amazing company. Looking forward to seeing your continued success in 2019
Can’t lose on either, but the NTS has this tiny spikyness in the tone that just maims.
Love it 😍
Yeah bro you can’t wrong at all!
They are a lot closer to each other than I expected. I'm with you. NTS by a hair. Great video!
Another phenomenal demo. You made both sound fantastic. Thank you for sharing.
This is an amazing compare video dude! I wanted a heads up on both these models and you sir delivered. Gave you a sub, and joined the bell notifier club
Hey thanks boss I really appreciate! You’re the man
Yeah I preordered the NTS while using the nameless trial and couldnt decide. Even am thinking about getting both. But just dont know yet. The neural facebook page posted that the zuul will be updated to nameless once NTS is officially released. I really loved the nameless trial. Im so torn between them. Theyre both so badass.
Having both is the best thing I ever did man.
Yeah, im thinking thats gonna need to be a thing for me too. 🤘
Thank you 4 this video. It helped me with a "difficult" decision 😀
Cab set up?
I still don't entirely understand the difference between the two. Isn't it like... you could actually get a sound like Nameless' by turning a few knobs in NTS anyway?
Good vid and great song!! What drums are you using on that track?
Been using Bias FX for the past few years and it's really good.. but comparing it to the NTS suite I just had to get it, its just so much more closer to that real amp feeling for some reason, absolutely love it!
Yeah bro bias fx has been my go to plugin until these two came along. These sound less digital. Idk hard to explain
@@xanderraymondcharles Atleast bias still have a ton of pedals for clean tones and stuff.... but I'm never going back from my NTS boi when it comes to metal tones.. I will eventually get the Nameless too I think, its honestly the first time I feel like I haven't been needing a tube amp which I haven't had since I moved out when I was 18 :D
Both go together like pb&j
Thank you
Anytime!!!
Which is better for dream theater
How do i acquire these plugins? I have presonus studio one but i want to know how people get these and what program is it?
You have to purchase them and download them
Stay Metal Ray from where for what program

Nolly vs nts vs nameless vs plini needed
2:05 2:20
NTS again. It has more bite & a more saturated sound.
First, hell yeah. :D
hell yeah bro!
I think the Nameless is more suited for Progressive/Djent/Rock tones as it is nearly not as gainy or saturated as the NTS. The NTS is very saturated as it shows in 2:14 compared to the nameless in 2:20. NTS seems more fitted for extreme metal genres like death metal type of shit haha. Both excellent
Thank you for the great video Ray!
Thank you for making killer plug ins!
Congrats on all your success this year. You guys did so well!
THICC
also I feel bad for your cameras autofocus, looks like it's struggling lol
Haha UA-camr problems 1 o 1
@@xanderraymondcharles did you go to university
I'd have to go with the Nameless due to it being a little more versatile over different music genres.
I'm thinking they're both good to double track with.
Yeah they are I’ve done that on several projects
That update you talked about finally happened this year. Nameless is on version 2.0, and the Zuul is included!
Yessir 🤘🏼
NTS is more saturated and gainy, nameless is more open and organic sounding. both are incredible and neither one is better than the other, they're just different
YOU DID IT!
You're da man bro! 👍
EDIT: I listened to your video on all my sounding systems, the NTS has something gnarly which makes it win my heart... euh... my ears! :)
yessir I knew you were anticipating it! Hope you dug it my man
@@xanderraymondcharles Yes sir! :)
I see the title and realize I'm slightly dyslexic coz I keep thinking Ray's finally done it, made a fortnite vid.
Hahah in all seriousness I don’t even know what fortnite is. Is that like a game?
Man. I just rewatched this. I've had the Nameless suite for years, wondering if I should add the NTS to my library, but goddamn. Hearing them side by side, the Nameless still just crushes my balls in a way nothing else can.
8180 is their loudest bubtu the best grind high gain amp is Klirrton Grindstein, it blows NAMELESS away
Have to go with the NTS, just has more punch in the tone than the Nameless.
Yeah it’s a such tough call
Great shootout. Interested to know your signal chain and tuning. Was there any processing other than the plugins? Both sound sweet, but think the NTS takes it!
Hey thanks tom! Nothing on the actual tracks and then some minimal eq and compression of the bus. That’s it!
2:05 2:19
1:35 1:58
1:36 1:59
Theyre both amazing plugins. The NTS to my ears sounds slightly more full and sounds more nasty in the best way possible.
Yeah man it’s such a tough call. I like the NTS by a hair
@@xanderraymondcharles it has more the meshuggah sound lol
I prefer the Nameless but it really is worth it to have both.
yeah man they're both absolutely amazing
Has Joey Sturgis demonetized this video yet because no one will ever buy a ToneForge plugin after this?
Hahah 😂🤘🏼 you’re the man dude
I came here thinking I would dig the Nameless a bit more, but after hearing them side-by-side I now feel like it has a bit too much of an annoying airy hiss and crackle on top of the tone - similar to those frequencies that you usually have to notch out of most guitar plugin sounds with an EQ. That actually makes it sound tighter on the palm mute chugs, but everywhere else it feels like unwanted noise. Thanks for the video, I think you just helped me decide which one my money is going to!
Bro that riff at 2:35 was on fire more than California!
Haha that’s a hell of an analogy
I’ll take it haha. Thanks big man
Thank you for this
Anytime!
Your riff kills, can i find it on your ep?
thanks man. Yeah you can find all my original stuff under Luna Muerta. Thats my solo stuff
@@xanderraymondcharles whats the name of this song?
Can you try Waves PRS Supermodels? It was released right before JST Misha plugin and Nameless Suite. People seem to kinda to forget about it. I am curious about your opinion.
It was the noisiness of the Nameless that stopped me buying it and sticking to Bias Amp. NTS looks promising. But even though the Nameless is getting the Zuul i'm not getting it because i think i don't like that amp.
Thank you!!! I'm going to grab both, but this helped me figure out which I NEED and which I just want lolol. Gotta be the Natas for me!
Awesome video bro!!! I also think the Zuul is the only thing that keeps these two plugins from being tied for first. Thanks for sharing and Stay Metal Ray!!!
thanks for the shootout man. I've been on the fence about picking up nameless and now i'm sold.
Would like to hear clean comparisons before I take my pic, killer demo btw!
What audio interface , daw, monitors, pc'?
But how they sound clean? For Intros...?
💗
man its hard to choose. Nameless has girth but the NTS has a nice bite.
Well said. In my eyes the nameless has more clarity and the NTS has more gain
The hexdrive is also a great addition, you can make some really cool sounds with that as well :)
What cab settings were you using?
I just downloaded the Nameless trial, has the Zuul, and 2 overdrives, Grind and Hexdrive. The Hexdrive is killer! Thank you for this video! Deciding which one I want to get, hard choice! About to get the NTS trial..
yeah man its a tough call. Honestly I'd go Nameless. For whatever reason, it my favorite of the two. Thanks for the support buddy!
Love both of the plugins and the tune was cool... just curious why you scooped the mids so hard?
thats their natural timbre. They're both heavy on the lows and highs, especially the nameless. They sound kinda funny when the mids go past noon. Plus no mids=more metal obviously haha
@@xanderraymondcharles lol:)
Now you need to do it again. The update to the nameless suite is pretty killer. ;)
Haha you’re in fact correct. It’s sick. I’m gonna shoot these two out next to the STL tones bundle because the Howard benson suite is in the running as top plugin
@@xanderraymondcharles Benson has more options and I like when you turn the volume down on the guitar, it doesn't cut right out.
Yeah, the NTS rips. It seems to go better with drop tunings or guitars with more than 6 strings. It adds a slamming brutal tone. Nameless for 6 sting metal not tuned so low, NTS for the Djent, Meshuggah-ish and modern progressive metal sounds or death metal. I think the NTW slams the door in. Its really kicking it.
Mate nameless is the meshuggah sig amp; not as good for drop tuning? It was made specifically for the purpose of drop tuning 😂
@@WholeLottaBulldog Yeah, listening again, youre right. But the NTS sounds a bit beefier and thanks to the noise gate it doesnt seems less tight.
Yea man Fortin Nameless *is* Meshuggah's amp in which the band uses 8-string guitars in ridiculous low tunings. NTS is defiantly more suited for extreme metal tones. If you want that clear and tight Periphery tone? Nameless. If you want that Brutal White Chapel type of stuff? NTS
Yeah I agree with you bro. Nameless suite has a lot of clarity which will help out a lot with lower tunings
I tried the Nameless Suite trial version, and I didn't really like it. Not compared to Waves PRS Archon, which is my current main amp sim. Now I think I know why. The NTS seems to get a lot closer to that tight, punchy attack with a mid boost that we've become used to, whereas the Nameless has an airy bottom end with not so much mids. But I found that the Nameless also had this fizzyness in the top end that you tend to encounter with a lot of cheap amp sims (which neither of these sims are). So I'd probably go with the NTS.
I gotta go with the nts too man!! Both sound amazing but the nts has a bit more gain which I prefer!
Yeah bro you can’t wrong with either one. I love them both so much
