    I can't thank you enough for this precise, easy to follow instructional video. I bought a Q24 about 8-10 years ago at a quilt expo when they had first come out. The store that sold is is about 60 miles away. They came one day, gave some less than stellar instructions and were gone from that point on. I have watched Bernina's instructional loading video hundreds of times, and I felt it was so hard to follow. Your video takes the time to explain everything and is SO MUCH APPRECIATED! I cannot thank you enough for your help. Wish I had found this video when it first came out but today is my lucky day!

    I appreciate your precise and detailed explanations in all the Q24 series tutorials. These videos are so helpful and a lifesaver since I am brand new to the longarm community. I have watched them several times, and I have gained new insight each time. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

    Thank you so much for making this video. This is the first time by myself that I am loading fabric to make a small throw. I previously floated one to finish for my granddaughter so this step by step loading process is so appreciated. I'm looking forward to the Qmatic video.

    Excellent video. I am a new q20 with frame owner and although I had an in person lesson (at the quilt shop) on loading the frame your video was so helpful when I actually was doing it myself today. Much clearer than other videos I viewed and I really appreciate how detail-oriented you were. I am sure I will use the video repeatedly as I get used to the process. Thank you.

    Just found your page. Thanks for a great demo. Bought my machine during end of covid and have been so intimidated by it! Gonna fix that today!😂

    Great video instruction. You’re the only one I’ve seen that pinned the backing selvage to the leaders. That makes more sense to me to keep the backing straight.

      Thank you. This can create problems too. The grain of the fabric is changed so it can stretch differently, and of course you may be limited to width of fabric. Be aware of how you are pinning and tighten the fabric accordingly.

    Thanks for this video! I'm going to my local dealer for my lesson on my machine today, but this makes me feel more secure knowing you've made a great video for me to refer back to if I don't remember everything he tells me. :-)

    Thanks so much for this video. I’m so happy I found it. I had a brief lesson when my Q20 was set up, but when I needed to load a quilt on my own, I was a bit lost.

    Very informative. We should receive our new Bernina Q24 soon but I’m nervous!

    I wonder if you can use safety pins to attach the fabric to the leader to avoid getting stuck.

    Al, what is the logic for 5 stiches per inch basting stitch? Is it something you do when using a certain thread brand/ type or cloth type that may stretch more? Or something else? I could also see size of quilt having something that may have something that could contribute to this decision too.

    I enjoyed your video very much. I usually float my tops but like the control using the bar provided. Question how do you handle uneven backing fabric. Also I just did a stripped backing and it was a dozzie to keep those strips lined up. There’s either unevenness at the top or the bottom. A friend loads her backing from behind the dead bar first. She says this ensures it’s even at the top. Any thoughts.

    Thank you for posting this video and I went on your FB and watched those also. The only thing I didn't see you show was you saving the design that you created. Also, wondered why you didn't cut as you quilted the rows and why did you have the design start on the right instead of on the left?

    • @AboveandBeyondCreativeSewing
      @AboveandBeyondCreativeSewing  3 роки тому +1

      Sandie, I did not save the design, but i do recommend doing that by choosing File and Save Design and/or layout. I let the edge to edge run off the quilt top, eliminating the need for cutting. You can start either right or left, you pick!

    Thanks for the video - very helpful. How do you keep the top rail stationary and upright when you roll the quilt top? My top rail falls back, hits the post and disengages the ratchet.

    • @AboveandBeyondCreativeSewing
      @AboveandBeyondCreativeSewing  3 роки тому

      You are talking about the top , but the one that stays is actually the bottom. Don't flip it up to roll and that will n to happen.
