Mashallah I feel the same way for the first time in my life I grew up in a Christian household and we would dress anyway we wanted I became a Muslim in 2013 and I started to cover in january of 2014 and I have found that the hijab for me has made me feel more confident and like you I feel like I am a representive of Allah and I to feel proud to wear it and when I wear it I feel closer to Allah I love your video you are a true insperation to me as a up and coming youtuber

I am so thankful that you guys don't just SELL hijabs but also do everything else around this topic to make women feel more comfortable wearing this garment, not only by selling good quality garments but also doing all this challenges, projects and stuff...I am so thankful for the whole community. I was never forced to wear a hijab, indeed my mom was really shocked about my decision but still supported me with it. Even like this it is sometimes so hard to put it on on some days and even MORE HARDER to decide if I should put it off for ever. But I always end up telling myself "no, i don't want that, I don't want to put it off, I want to fight for it" It's so hard to be a woman in this society, it's so hard to be a woman in this society...but the more I think about this topic... It's so hard to be a real human being in this society. Thank you all for this project, I will definitly participate to it, at least privatly and think about all this recommitment. Yes please do an ask Melanie video. Love how there are so many comments where younger girls are starting to wear hijab and ask for your advice. I Love my hijab and the empowerment and modesty it brings me. I am a role model in my work place simply because I wear hijab and live my life through the guidance of the Quran and sunnah. I am the only doctor in my hospital who wears hijab. I love how people pick up on my values and get to experience first hand how a Muslim person lives her life with adaab despite how the media portrays us. #likeyoumeanitHH

Alhamdulillah.. I wear my hijab for the love of Allah swt . It came to me all of a sudden to wear it and the reason why I am committed to is this love that I have for Allah swt ..it just grows more and more plus I feel confident in it.
Though I am regularly judged on the basis of how I look .. it doesn't stops me from wearing my hijab. Actually I feel free and myself when I am wearing it. Or maybe it's the blessing of Allah swt.

I didn't realize you'd had that issue with your mom. One would assume you wouldn't have to go through that since your father is an imam. I also went through something similar with my father when I began wearing hijab during my senior year. He also didn't really talk to me for years! subhanAllah
