The only exceptional (cannot be replaced by another clone playing the same thing) Musician in the lot is Alexi. And apparently, he doesn't even own the right to the name: Children of Bodom now. Flabbergasting...
@@gabrielmonteza6583 Henkka just went along for the ride, but I agree with you about Janne, he's fawking amazing as is Jaska......now they're riding the COB bandwagon on merch. Alexi was a god in a mans body. \m/
@@wahmeister666 I sort of agree with you....and I'm sorry to sound like a dick.....but it's well known that the band was Alexi.....he made the riffs, composition....even basic drum beats.....I certainly know they all put their time in....I guess I'm just bitter.....excuse my negativity.
Hmm.. I don't get why bands feel the need to crank the tempo up to the levels where it chokes the life out of otherwise good songs. Adrian Smith left Iron Maiden back in the day because they did the same thing.
COB used to play "too slow" as well. Look up more their live performances. IIRC even on Stockholm Knockout DVD songs sounds too slow (but I may remember that wrong, but for sure they played slower). This show seems definitely played too fast. But another thing is if maybe the video is sped up? If yes, then it's not huge modification, beucase they seem to move normally, but I've seen videos that are definitely sped up, for unknown reason.
Here are some possible reasons why bands do that: 1. Those extra few seconds each time compound to a small break inbetween the songs 2. They might've started late 3. Adrenaline makes them go faster 4. The time for the venue might be limited / Other bands have to play 5. They are able to fit more songs into the setlist 6. Most of the times it just sounds more badass :) I honestly don't know the real reason but all these possibilites seem reasonable to me
They were probably the last (& only ones) at the venue that night. Never understood the reasoning myself, as some bands like Guns N' Roses blast near 3h shows and others just play 1h. Maybe Alexi's voice could do only an hour of material?
Yeah Bodom was known for playing "on crack" as I like to say. They sometimes played even their hardest songs 10-15% faster than on the records. And these songs are very difficult as they are on the records so it was pretty nuts.
Lame. As a musician, playing live always is an adrenaline high and that itself tends to drive the tempo up. This is real music played by real people, if you want it exactly like the album.. Just listen to the damn album.
24:38 that guitar sound 😮😮
生で見れなかったのが悔やまれる😢
Thanks for filming. At least I`ve got to see their last concert through this video while imagining I was there. Wish they've never disbanded though :(
Lake Dodom should be the Finnish national anthem
Can't wait for this album
It’s already out on all streaming platforms.
They played everything faster to try and fit in more songs, cool of them to do so at their last show.
Thanks for sharing Alexi concert!
🔥 💗
🤘🎸🤘
I hope a pro version of this gets released....why would they not film their last show?
i dont see any people with professional recording equipment
so unfortunately i dont think they did :(
@@bigpapa5558 Damn! Maybe, still hoping although it has been a while. Seems odd they would not record their farewell.
They are and this has been announced probably months before I write this reply
@@brandonharris9160 Yah, I recently got an email from a clothing/merch company that has the vinyl and the cd too. Hope I get one!
First (always wanted to do that)
