Hey man,
Just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your Dead backing tracks. I have a Boss RC-1 Loop Station, which I use a lot, but it’s always nice to get out of loops every once in a while, and work on your improv over a solid backing track. Most of the ones I have found are always a short loop, over and over, for like 5-? Minutes. I really like how yours are the entire song.
I sub’ed for that alone, hope your channel continues to grow. I also hope to continue finding new Dead backing tracks from you.
Hey glad they're helpful. Definitely more on the way. A heavily requested one is up next...
Just bought the course and gave it a quick once over. WOW. There is so much info in there it will takes weeks to work through. Thank you so much.
Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for all you do Jeff! Your backing tracks have single handedly relit my flame 🔥
These dead tracks are why i know how to play guitar 🤘

Walk me out in the morning dew my honey
Walk me out in the morning dew today
I can't walk you out in the morning dew my honey
I can't walk you out in the morning dew today
I thought I heard a baby cry this morning
I thought I heard a baby cry today
You didn't hear no baby cry this morning
You didn't hear no baby cry today, yeah
Where have all the people gone my honey
Where have all the people gone today
There's no need for you to be worrying about all those people
You never see those people anyway
I thought I heard a young man morn this morning
I thought I heard a young man morn today
I thought I heard a young man morn this morning
I can't walk you out in the morning dew today
Walk me out in the morning dew my honey
Walk me out in the morning dew today
I'll walk you out in the morning dew my honey
I guess it doesn't really matter anyway
I guess it doesn't matter anyway
I guess it doesn't matter anyway
I guess it doesn't matter anyway
I guess it doesn't matter anyway
Such a vibe. Sounds great! (As usual 😊)
Thanks!

PERFECT timing. I have a lesson on friday and we are digging into Morning Dew!
@@jeremyspayne Oh nice! An easy tune on the surface, but the way the Dead played it had so much going on.
My man
Hi Jeff- Have you considered a video on all the different ways you played these chords in morning dew? Seems like you’ve mastered what Bobby is doing in the background
I actually have a whole course on it: www.jeffwilliamsguitar.com/dissecting-the-dead
Could you make a backing track of Morning Dew from the first album entitled Grateful Dead on Warner Brothers?
As always, awesome sound and quality. However, this track sounds way off in terms of the timing. At least with the standard live versions of the song. Trying to play the classic Europe '72 or Cornell riffs over this, with the correct song timing, isn't working out well.
Sorry for that.
@@JeffWilliamsGuitar Nah, I apologize for being so critical. I have an agenda though, that may be of interest to you and other UA-camrs doing Dead backing tracks. I have a Dead cover band, but I would also love to have very authentic UA-cam backing tracks for entire songs that are downloadable. You can even charge gigging musicians a fee per download(s). But the problem with my criticism is that not everyone is as knowledgeable about Dead song structure as I am, so I may not be representative of the majority of your audience. I do think that if you could really work on song structure of entire songs, with the jams, that could be downloaded and used for gigs, you may be able to make money on it. I know I would pay for videos that I could gig with. I would also be VERY willing to help you with the structures for a lot of the tunes if you like. I can really help you fine tune a lot of the songs. Here is a sample of my playing, so at least you know I know what I'm talking about. I also posted a video using one of your backing tracks to show people how powerful your content is. You can look it up if you like. But here: ua-cam.com/video/rfx40PwE1uE/v-deo.html
Is the full extended version of this available through the $10 patreon subscription as well or just the dissecting dead course?
Yes, it's on the $10 patreon as well.
:)
Nice lesson...but i would really love the tabs for the whole song. So if I purchase the Dissecting the Dead lesson for this song would the complete tabs come with it?
Yes. Full tabs with rough ideas for each Bob, Jerry, and Phil. Backing tracks without each of their parts, plus the MultiTracks WAVs (if you wanna really go nuts with recording/mixing) and lesson videos for again Jerry Bob and Phil.

@@JeffWilliamsGuitar Listen...I really enjoyed watching this lesson. I have been looking for tabs for Jerrys part to this song for a very long time. I just wasn't able to find anything worthy. I asked many people about sharing tabs for this song but wasnt lucky enough to get a reply. Playing by ear is not my strong point. But playing off of good tabs...i can nail it. So...with this lesson comes with the complete solo and everything needed to play this? Sorry bro...I just have been looking for good tabs for this song for a very long time. Then i saw this lesson and read the description and my heart almost stopped thinking the journey has finally come to an end. Sounds weird i know. But i really do need good tabs for this. So if this is the complete set of tabs for the song I am all in. Plus probably others.
@@lespaul1648 Unfortunately it's not a complete tab with the solos and all. More of a guide going over concepts with some specific licks here and there. That's the approach I like to take. Sorry about that.
@@JeffWilliamsGuitar Your approach (and a couple other cats) has worked wonders for me. I have way more fun now than I ever have, and my playing has finally improved to a level where I'm (nearly) ready to take you up on your video challenge, just need to sand down a few things. Very grateful for your work, no pun intended.
Also, this is a great version of Morning Dew, btw. :o)
