    Hi is there a difference between wild sage and white sage

    • @cagedraptor
      @cagedraptor  4 роки тому +1

      "wild" sage is sage that grows wild in nature. I found two types one was white sage the other I did not look up to find out what type but when I say wild sage I just mean sage that grows wild in nature. Thanks for the question.

      I wore it a lot in Colorado and even in Wyoming but once I got to the Black Hills in South Dakota and into the trees the sun wasn't so bad and the hat came off.

    Personally I don't think that's White Sage because the leaves are very thin, the White sage has more wide leaves and is so rare that is declared endangered species and is protected by law in some regions.

      I can agree with that, I am in no way skilled about Sage. This was the, and still is the, first time I had ever even seen wild sage in my life. Thanks for the comment. Always am glad to get views from others that are more skilled. Thanks for your comment.

      I had just seen that myself; that it’s endangered. So sad.

      this was in Colorado in a town called Bailey. My wife has family that lives on land that butts up against the blm land, on a mountain, about 2 miles up. Had such a great time.

      I was super excited to find it and in Wyoming as well, but I had enough from Colorado so I didn't bother with it much in Wyoming. I did gather it up and put it in my hat while walking. Smelled like sage for days.

    Hi. I just found your video. I would like to go to that location with a pot ready to take the soil and a few cuttings to propagate the white sage. I ordered some from growers exchange but I feel that they didn't send it in the proper soil and they died shortly after arrival due to trauma from the shipment and problems getting it out of the packaging. That soil looks kind of gravel like, is it?

      It is gravely, I am on a mountain. This is in Bailey, CO. We went to visit family and while there I had such a great time collecting Sage and Quartz.

    I love using sage. My mom and I use to for our pain. I have knee pain. I get some, wrap it in twine and use a thin layer of cloth and heating pad. Put the sage/cloth against your skin and the heating pad on top and sleep. We also drink it when are ill....really harsh though.

      Love sage, we don't have it growing wild in my area so finding it not only in CO but also SD was cool.

      The biggest reason to save the world is that you like it the way it is. I don't think I'll be saving this world any time soon. But I do thank you for your comment. In truth it isn't the world I don't care for it is the Human infestation.
