A 6 footer shutting down a 7 footer on the glass. Incredible. The raps finished all their defensive stops with a board in this run. Board man gets paid. Just outworked the bucks. Like u said pure heart, effort, will to win and I'd say skill too. Rebounding takes fundamentals that aren't necessarily easy but vital to winning and overlooked a lot and separates winning teams/players from losing ones. Just look at 0:45 Vanvleet moves his feet, gets low so lopez can only try to go over the back, and uses his butt to box out (instead of just shoving). And Kawhi wasn't already in great position on his man so he immediately locates him and faces guards him to stay in front instead of ball watching. I love it

I’m 51years old, lived in Toronto my entire life, have watched every professional team in Toronto and this Raptors run was thee best moment in Toronto sports History that I have witnessed. Some will say that Joe Carter’s home run to win the World Series was the best in the last 50 years; and it was great! However, the Jays were expected win and the Raptors were the complete underDAWGGS the entered playoff run. Every American broadcaster (except Barkley) with a mouth said they couldn’t do it and they just kept shutting them up every night. I will never forget this as long as I live and watch the playoff run mini movie every few months or so, jus cuz.
I’m watching this clip, in the midst of the 3rd wave of COVID, in Toronto and this just makes me literally happy and gives me goosebumps like I had when this was live.

Giannis didn't have a high enough IQ to find the open guy right away when he got double teamed. He was panicking and passing it to whoever he saw first. That's something he gotta learn from king James. Lebron is so good at making the defense pay everytime he gets double teamed, very high IQ.

And his and the whole teams lack of playoff experience also played a part like never in his career has he been in a situation like that before you know blowing a crucial game 5 and then being in a hostile environment road on the opposite end of a close out game up to that point his playoff series were blowout sweeps minus that game 1 against Boston and then look at us down 15 big don't matter just trust the offense and execute and we'll get good looks. That game tying bucket very easily we could've been baited into playing hero ball but Kyle instead got the switch he wanted blow by scramble the defense and pocket pass to Serge for a dunk

So many moments that epitomized what this raptors team was all about in this sequence. Lowry takes a key charge and steal. Playoff Powell with a clutch 3. Kawhi just refusing to give up on plays and his ability to make big shots. Suffocating team defense.

When you look at the history of champions in the NBA, you can see there are teams that win consecutively and then there are random teams to win here and there like the 2004 Pistons, 2011 Mavs, and 2019 Raptors.
They are usually teams with no crazy duos or trios, no superteams, not much drama. Just a group of players who mesh together so well they beat the odds.
