    Overwhelming how she is capable to show off such a temperament, own of Faust original Goethe and Gounod’s works trough all the Allegro Agitato and specially the end. What a flaming passage 🔥

      It’s a shame with all the competitions Asian win, they are still underrepresented in the classic music world.

    me encanta como la gente aplaude al final del allegro agitato, una de las secciones mas impresionantes de esta pieza... leonid kogan tiene una versión muy buena también pero con orquesta...

    It's custom not to clap before a piece finishes, but after the allegro agitato non troppo seems to be one of the exceptions where it feels more than appropriate to clap upon completion, even for the most fastidious. One just can't contain oneself.

    I feel like we should give the audience some slack for clapping mid piece. If you weren't familiar with this piece, the end of that section sounds like how a showpiece would typically end. You also have to be careful about the physical signals you give off because they physically played as if was the end of the piece (the pianist shifting away from the piano for example).

    There should be a law against clapping in the middle of a sonata.

    • @juliabushkova
      @juliabushkova 3 роки тому +9

      It is not a sonata, but a virtuosic piece. That is why the pianist kept playing while the applause was going on rather than just wait it out. Unfortunately, the audiences often clap in that particular spot as it sounds like the end of the piece.

      That's the whole fun of a virtuoso piece! No clue where this library mentality comes from, the musician themselves like most often people showing some reaction and emotion 😂😂
