How refreshing, no obligatory romance, and no emphasis on how special humans are.

    Nice one, not too stereotypical.

I rescued a blue slave girl once. It wasn't very rewarding. I went through the trouble of paying for her for the sake of releasing her. I get her out, and I said, "You're free!" while unchaining her. She kicked me in the nads, smashed me over the head with a nearby bowl, grabbed my space craft access card, and ran off yelling, "loser" at me. She made it half way to my ship, only to be re-captured by the same syndicate that sold her to me to begin with. Feeling bad for me, they marched her back to me and asked if I lost something. I ended up getting a refund, minus a 10% restocking fee, while she rambled on about wanting to be rescued by a real man. The slave trader complained it had been the third time she had been returned, but promised they would have a more grateful subject in a week or two when they did their rounds.
If they don't find somebody good, I might just re-purchase this girl, but instead of freeing her, I might eject her into space. I mean, I just wanted somebody to play video games with on longer runs. How hard can it be? I don't know. Maybe I should hit the gym. This will be the third time I've been rejected by the slave girl I tried to rescue.

Escape scene: the hangar doors are open to the void, but they don't have spacesuits? It needs fixing. But overall, it's a good story. Congratulations!

If they do it the way they, do it in Star Trek and probably in Star Wars chances are that there is a forcefield keeping the air in. Even a rather weak forcefield would do since the pressure difference is minimal. The shield would not prevent a ship moving through it thou. There is also the possibility that the hangar is airless, and people use docking ramps similar to what people use to go from a building directly to an aircraft at an airport.

Okay, the writer knows that. But I, the reader, have no way of knowing, I have to be told. And yes, it could be an allusion to an osmotic force field or whatever. It's an elegant solution. But tell me.

@@dragosanghelache That I agree with. These stories should be given an overhaul to fix things like that.

@@dragosanghelache its called "suspension of disbelief" you just have to accept that theres some hand wave the writer did to make it work.

One minute a combat medic, next minute a combat pilot! The A1 narration also needs work.

My head canon told me that he flew a flying ambulance. But yes, that should be explained if that was the case

Please pronounce and spell Lily properly.

Problem with that is that I personally know two people called Lily. One spells as 'Lilly' the other as 'Lily'. And those are the names and spellings as given by their parents.

PLEASE READ YOUR STORY BEFORE RELEASING IT! You will probably see most of the errors and be able to fix them. That way you won't look so stupid. "...she wash the numbers"??? How do you WASH numbers?

Lilly, Lily, Liely, Layly, Lightly. Which is it? Gods I hate this text to voice / voice to text AI. It makes a weak story intolerable!
