- It's certainly a time to be a fan of the classics, what with today's remasters and re-releases. Add Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection to the list -it delivers a solid and good-looking rendition of these old shooters and highlights their strengths.
From enjoyable campaigns that span the original and prequel trilogies to the stellar Galactic Conquest modes, Star Wars: Battlefront 1 and 2 are worth checking out, even after all these years. Of course, you still need to deal with issues, from the lack of variety in Galactic Conquest's objectives to the terrible AI teammates.
Nevertheless, everything else - from the unit variety and sheer scale of the battles to the authentic Star Wars look and feel and some new content - is on point. Whether you're a fan of the originals or the modern titles, Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is worth checking out. - Ігри

@@Cabbage22927 but it was due to fan demands on campaign mode. MPs were good enough to sustain a certain period until they started with the microtransactions, and then it went down again.
I'd take a full on Galactic Conquest game fleshed out for modern times. I'm definitely picking these up though.

I'm not trying to sound hateful here but this is a really bad review. Showing the entire thing in 1st person is a mistake, your mispronouncing alot of names and your showing repeated clips.
I remember playing a demo for Battlefront 2 back in the day but couldn't afford to get it on my own at the time. This should be awesome

I'm curious why you didn't mention in the video that galactic conquest is an offline only mode that does not support any online play whatsoever on any platform? Since galactic conquest is the main selling point for a lot of people, that should have been mentioned in the video - other than maybe at the end where it was "hinted" at when mentioning the 64-player multiplayer "except" for galactic conquest. Also, you didn't even compare the original releases with this new version. The games have been upscaled and Aspyr went in and up-rezzed many of the textures in the game, not to mention changed some of the game play even over the originals. You didn't mention any of that either. As just a review of this new collection, it's fine I guess as a review. But people are going to want to know if there are any changes, or fixes etc. over the originals if they played those games and let's face it this release is catered towards those original players probably more so than newbies to the franchise.

@@fadeapocalypse7560 It's been made very clear in every review I've watched/read and on Twitter that galactic conquest does not have any online support - yet. There is a post that was deleted apparently that said if the game does well enough, they may patch it in down the road. But it is not in the game at launch.

@@GrooveSpaceArk Just general quality of life stuff mostly, though I've seen a couple reviews say the gunplay feels much smoother in this release than in the originals. And I think they tweaked loadouts for some of the characters you play as, but I only saw that in one review and haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else so I don't know about that one.
I created my own Conquest match on Battlefront 2 Classic. I set the Reinforcements to 500. So the game started at 750 vrs 750 Ticket count. Game started with 16 Ai vrs 16 Ai, To shoot at until other players see the 750 count and stay. Please pass the word. Thank you.
Every time I tried to go to multiplayer in battlefront 2 it constantly crashes, they dropped the ball with the remaster collection
And whenever I get a match, I always feel like my shots aren’t registering at all. I’m severely disappointed

Inverted controls are totally missing from both 1 & 2. This is unacceptable for a game that old and it’s 2024. Unfortunately devs don’t give a crap about the players or they would include this from the start, but I’m finding more and more that do a half ass job on control options and that’s sad. BTW load times on the Switch are very long.

Because it is AI. Its not about it sounding monotone, but for there being no pauses in between some words. Like the whole intonation just sounds off

AFAIK all modes support online play EXCEPT galactic conquest. That one is offline only. I could be wrong about campaign coop though, haven't seen that mentioned in any coverage specifically to be fair.
I paid 34 bucks for it on PlayStation. It's not worth 34 bucks. More like 10 bucks. The multiplayer isn't that fun like I thought it would be. It's kind of broken
They messed this game up so bad.
Complaining about the AI while the previous big battlefront games had none at all. It is because of the derpy AI troopers I even look at this game.
They should just make a new battlefront with the great graphics the new one has but add all the previous maps skins and everything from the older ones while also making it cross play so u can play with ur friends it’d be more fun and the game would last even longer:) also add more heroes maybe like Mandalorian and captain Rex, etc..

In my experience Battlefront 2 is completely broken. Shots just do not register, games seem to finish after about two minutes. It’s just not fun. Haven’t had any issues with Battlefront 1 though. Playing on PS5

Cheaper to buy the old version and download graphics mod. Far better experience for less money. The potential here was massive. 20 years of improvements could have been implemented with an updated feel to the game. Its a graphics skin for £30. Its a joke. And the multiplayer is a shambles and just doesnt work.
I've heard people have been experiencing issues on this game, hopefully aspyr patches it all like they said they would. So far on the ps4 it's been OK but needs work

Is it me or was this review voiced by AI?
Did the AI change from the original games? I recall the AI being quite good back then, but it has been ...oh geez, 2 decades now? So I might be remembering wrong. But I thought it was really decent and certainly better than bots I've experienced in games more recently. Hearing you complain about the AI makes me wonder if something changed.
I believe the originals had difficulty settings that would balance things out. The easiest difficulty would make your team smarter and stronger with the enemy team being a lot easier to run over, while the hardest difficulty was the opposite? Do I have that right? Is that still a thing here?
I'm concerned because bot matches were probably going to be my mainstay and I hope they are still fun.
The Ai still the same he is playing in the “normal” difficulty since you can select the ai dfficulty in the gameplay menu just like old ps2/xbox
While it's cool that the games get revived, I don't see any reason to switch tbh, given that it are straight 1:1 ports.

Yeah, that's very unlikely. Battlefront 1 sold over 14 million copies last I checked; this new collection isn't going to get anywhere near that. At least not for a couple years and only if word of mouth and influencers sell this like the best thing ever. Battlefront 2, not sure how much that one sold but I've seen estimates from 5 million to 8 million copies.

Controls are TERRIBLE. Even if you turn sensitivity down it still feels super high. Needs fixed asap...
Don't know if it's a bug or not, but you can't get the award rifle in bf2
You need to reach a certain rank to unlock it though
You need a rank higher than Green to unlock it after the kill requirements. After that, you need to reach the legendary rank to instantaenously win the Elite Rifle when you spawn.
The same applies to every other award.
Note: if you win an Award weapon but it doesnt appear in your hands, you have to switch guns back and forth to make it appear

Have you never played the Master Chief collection that game is similar to this situation where it was a major glitch fest and the online sucked or didn’t work. You’re kinda are stretching it with the thought that they are going to earn money with Micro Transactions on games that are almost 20 years old. All they really need to do is fix the cutscenes in the story mode of Battlefront 2, allow flight controls to be changed, and fix the online server problem that’s it and seeing as how many people bought the game that doesn’t seem to be the problem, adding micro transactions would just add more problems. Besides this rerelease of the collection comes with all the DLCs it’s all ready the complete games they is zero point in adding micro transactions.
I’ve never played any of the battle fronts, so what’s the difference between the classic and the more recent battle fronts?
The new ones are a rebooted franchise, the classic collection is the originals from the PS2 era that everybody loves
