Sweat is a bit older, and still my fac Tool it's 1st on Opiate, their 1st Toolbox, because it the most important Tool. Without Sweat, every Tool in the world is useless and worthless
0:07 Im from Peru, and the initial sound is from a theme native to my country. The funniest part is that I used to hear that tune every Sunday from my house, as they practiced local dances with the melody from the beginning of this song in the square near my home. Years later, I hear it in my favorite band. 😂😂
There used to be a underground video release of the studio, making of undertow, and the music you heard in the very beginning came from if I remember correctly a small either Mexican or Peruvian music group, that the members of tool met in a parking garage, and they recorded them playing that song in a car garage
TOOL /UNDERTOW Album is a MASTERPIECE, I cannot say enough great things to describe the Artistic Masterpiece that Tool made with the sound production of UNDERTOW it is by far their greatest achievement. Tool is unique and they sound absolutely amazing on this Album I wish they would come back to this particular sound in UNDERTOW. TOOL ROCKS !!! 🔊🎤🎸🥁🎶
A Bolivian pipe-band was playing in the SoundCity parking lot while Tool were recording. Their song "Oruro; Tierra de Ensuenõs" translates to a town and province called Oruro; World of Dreams
I really enjoyed watching your reactions to Crawl away it was always my favorite on this Album but I love the whole thing it is a MASTERPIECE. The sound production was the greatest I have ever heard before and also Adam Jones works on Hollywood movies he is great with special effects and sound it is a win win for these guys. And Paul on the bass he is my favorite bass player, man he played that Rickenbacker with a vengeance. UNDERTOW Album is my favorite of TOOL. ❤ ROCK OUT !!!
I love watching you two react to Tool! You find words to describe what we all feel! “Danny’s Guitar” is perfect!! You were spazzin out so much you forgot their names. ❤
You just gained a subscriber for reacting to this song. Fuck all the Undertow haters. Also, you nailed it with the production. If you have great headphones, play Bottom, Crawl Away, and Undertow without taking a break and listen deep into the music. Listen for the layers and level volume changes combined with the left right balance and it will take you down a spiral of production amazement. SO MUCH passion and perfection on their Album. Young, RAW, and emotional.
Thanks! The production on this album just captures Tool at this time in their life’s so well absolutely love it. How anyone that’s a Tool fan not liking this album is beyond me. Also We have a Tool reaction playlist if you want to check out some other tracks off this album we reacted to.
Paul D'amour's bass playing on this album is my gold standard. His tone is the perfect combination of punchy, full and deep, and gritty. Justin is great but Paul added a layer of menace to Tool's sound that disappeared when he left the band. Sylvia Massy is the producer on this album and she is such an underrated genius. She has her own channel where she shows some of her recording techniques and it's fascinating.
Can't wait to see them again in LA Feb 15....on my bay. What a great gift , thanks sis! And they played this song live the second time I seen them it was absolutely visceral. Adam's guitars so dark I love it
i bought a ticket for Feb 14th and the same feeling ) it's my first time to experience them live.. i hope they'll do something crazy for their land's crowd 😊
I have never heard of a Tool fan that didn't like this album. Must be latecomers I guess. Glad to have had the opportunity to be a listener almost from day one.
You should check out, "Flood," the last non-hidden track of the Undertow album. It's got a lengthy intro, but the power and emotion of the song's ending is so good. (yes there is a hidden "last" track)
If I remember correctly, Disgustipated isn't hidden, but between it and Flood there were a number of hidden tracks in the CD, such that the total number of tracks in it was 69 😂
@@alihijazi4451 Come on man, I didn't mean it's literally hidden, but you do gotta kind of go looking for it to hear it. On the CD it is "hidden" behind the shit ton of single second silent tracks that you mentioned.
I love the production on this album and it is a good contrast to the later stuff. It just fits with the aggressiveness of the music and lyrics. I'm still looking forward to Disgustipated, which happened to be track 69 on this album.
This song is 30 years old....and still knocks you into the dirt!!! TooL never let's us down!

Man, what a great story 😂😂
That’s cool
Sure, but they were from Bolivia
@@dan.j.boydzkreationz not according to South Park.
Name of peruvian's Song PLS? ,🙏🏼
TOOL writes the most beautiful love songs 😊
Tool is timeless. A 30 year old song that could have been on a 2023 album makes them very special.

Even with all the amazing music TOOL have made, this is still my favorite album.
Same
One of my all time Tool favs.
TOOL has no misses. All net. 🤘🏼👁🌀
Maynards voice was fucking primal in this era.
What you want and what you need don't mean the FUCK to me!! Superb fucking track, one of their heaviest for sure.
So so heavy, without being too much, great compostion!
One of may favorites from tool currently 🤘🤘

Likely my favorite early Tool tune, so much life in that composition is nuts! Good ole' fashion Banger!
Everyone's always late to this, but it's easily as good as any other Tool song.
I've heard all your tool reactions love you guys, love tool are they the best band ever? I think so ❤
Congratulations for your reactions, always seeing a band from another planet present in Chile, Greetings. 🌌🛸❤️❤️🇨🇱🇨🇱
I haven’t even seen the video yet but already know this going to be a great reaction! Love you guys!

I love you two. So I'm super happy to see yall listen to my favorite tool song.
😂🎉 love it that was so cool
One of my favorite tracks from Undertow, I think bottom is top for me

They also reacted to Flood and Bottom. Both are great videos.
Old school Tool fans don’t hate undertow. Rather appreciate it for its magnificence as a part of the evolution. It was way ahead of its time.
Undertow is their second best effort after Aenima.
@@MJC_2112 Aenima is a good album. They’re all good. It’s not better than Undertow though. No album is better than Undertow.

I have a very specific memory of this song from college, playing a FPS game on my computer while this is blasting in the background. Awesome song.
Bro gets teary-eyed had me. Let's go.
This one at least had a glimpse of the passion you presented back in the car video days. Good one!
This song is hard driving! 🔥🔥🔥
LOVE the Koi No Yokan shirt!
I know I say it all the time but this was 7 grade for me when I heard this song I was a problem when I went to school. Lol😂
I have never heard of a Tool fan that didn't like this album. Must be latecomers I guess. Glad to have had the opportunity to be a listener almost from day one.
Thanks for getting back to Tool. The song Bottom off that Undertow album is my favorite.
Also, this is not their first album, that would be Opiate
@@shelbo1000Undertow IS their first album (i.e. LP). Opiate was an EP.
Love it! Early tool is my favorite. 🤘🏻
My favorite from Undertow
Love me some mother fuckin' TOOL! 🤘🔥
I see you guys like Rock. May I suggest Fair to Midland, Amarillo Sleeps on My Pillow. I think you'll dig them. 🤘
Can you guys listen to Mudshovel by Staind? I feel you guys will love the bass line.
By the way, this is my favorite track off this album.
Not his longest, but nonetheless my favorite Maynard scream at the end!
You guys need a cigarette 🚬 after that one 😜
🤘🏻🌀

My fave TOOL song.....still hits as hard now as it did 30 years ago.
This IS BEEF
Yeah guys, it's an homage to Ted Nugent's "Stranglehold"!
It's basically the same riff, and Keenan even mentions "getchü in a Stranglehold baby"
Tool time everybody, buckle up! 🤘🏼✌🏼
