Yes I googled before and there were just vage post were self driving companies operate. Such a video gives a much better picture of the current state. That being said there are 5 big ones doing self driving in China, so maybe? there are better ones out there.

@@zzfaithlezz you’re right if you want to be pedantic of course, but as somebody who is fluent and grew up in Taiwan where we say 土蘿蔔 for radish and just 蘿蔔 for carrot (the 紅 is implied), I would disagree about it being a mistake 🙂
@@sophiat you should ask a grocer (pr anyone over the age of 5 for that matter 😅) in mainland which one is which. there's no ambiguity about what vegetable comes to mind when referring to the company name.

That's wild the way the map just doesn't align with what the car is seeing. It's obviously a premade map the car is using GPS to apply, seems like LIDAR is barely if at all influencing it. I remember Tesla saying they'd use HD maps at one point to power autopilot and it's plain to see why that's an awful idea The car is very i-pace-y, typical lookalike shenanigans. You're really trying to sugar coat it but that sounded like an awful taxi experience, I'm just glad there was a safety driver.

Next time you should use a camera without a gimbal or stabilization so the viewers get a real sense of how jerky the whole experience was LOL. The pocket 3 is really good at smoothing out everything.
Thank you for sharing! Basically, you were risking your life getting into the car on a road with a speed limit of at least 50 miles per hour. Stopping on a fast-moving lane should be illegal. Throughout the drive, I saw many vehicles changing lanes, causing drivers to brake suddenly. This situation is common in several Asian countries. However, please avoid getting into a car on a fast-moving lane in the future. If a vehicle behind fails to slow down or cannot brake in time, the consequences could be severe. Take care!

This is my first time seeing Lobo Kuai Pao(Appolo auto?). I am Chinese America. Read and write Chinese. Haven’t visited there forever. Good to find out they really hyped up that thing bad. It’s night and day compared to my FSD V 12.5.4.2. Eagerly waiting for the 12.6
If you take the huge difference of traffic conditions into the comparison, I'm not sure Tesla can do better or not. And Luibo Kuaipao is not a first tier autonomous driving tech company in China, it's just the most motivated one to push their service to the market. Same as the case in the States, Tesla has the best self-driving system, but they are not in the taxi market.

@@Aerith17 I think it remains to be seen if they can actually deliver, though in my mind it’s increasingly unlikely with their current solution that they can achieve a satisfyingly reliable level 4 type system. If they bodge it in the name of trying to roll it out ASAP for the public image, it’ll be worse for all of us.
@@sophiat US and Canadian real world demonstrations show it works. Even in tight New York or Chicago traffic which was demonstrably much tighter but not as "honky" than what you experienced in China.
I think they need like 10, wait 20 more lidars. Maybe more. Having said that the smoothest most capable self driving system right now has not lidars. 😂

And that other time where he almost had to take over again? I will also emphasize that I was using a camera on a gimbal which actively smoothed out anything rough happening. Otherwise the footage would have been unwatchable I think…
Honestly driving in China is hardcore. I had one month holydays in Sichuan, ten years ago and I was shocked how the people drive compare to my country France 😅 This service must improve but in every country where people like to drive like Mad Max, it's gonna be rough for all robotaxi ^_^

@@jonnyqi all relative statements! “Nothing around here” relative to more central Shenzhen. Their two service areas are away from central areas. A road can still be busy despite the rest of the area being calm. Also no prejudice, I came into this thinking it would be reflective of how other influencers on Chinese social media portrayed it: without a safety driver and a good experience. Thanks for watching!
