Fantastic film, real flash back. I was in Ladakh 1976, I´ll think it was the first year opened for tourist. I was 22 years old and it was the my lifes best adventure. We drived our own car from Stockholm, Sweden to Leh, Ladakh. I will never forget the people and nature of Ladakh. All my life I wish that I one time will come back to Ladakh. We will see!! Thank You!!
@Tsering Larjay hey don't talk shits, look ladakh is a vast area its not like your conserved brain, there are also villages with zero Buddhist... But yet respect our fellow buddist... Infact hindu arrived after india occupied ladakh ,but we Muslims have roots here.. And Don't forget Muslims are majority in Ladakh....please don't create mess here...it seems like you don't know anything about...except the "Bhojpuri tube" that you have subscribed🤣🤣...
Thanks for sharing such a valuable documentry. Very innocent, down to earth people we were. Gradually the modernization start, today we are very far from our culture, tradition and history.
These ladakhis are actually tibeteans who migrated from tibet to ladakh in 11 century and established the kingdom of ladakh.majority of ladakhis are Buddhists followed by shia muslims .There are also baltis,in ladakh
Hello! May I please use some of your footage in a documentary I am making? Of course I will credit you. Im just starting off and its my first documentary :)
Schitterende beelden! Ik vraag me af hoe je dat geluid er bij hebt gekregen. 8 mm is oorspronkelijk zonder geluid toch? Erg leuk dat je dit met ons wil delen op UA-cam. Nu is het een bijzonder gevoel om als westerling in deze regio te mogen zijn. In 1978 moet gevoel nog vele malen sterker zijn geweest. Toine

More than 60 percent of Ladakh are Muslim.😊
@@AnsarAli-ns6um jihadist spotted 😀😀😀
There is still a King, residing in Stok palace. Since monarchy is long gone, king and royalty have no political power. It's more of a social nature
