The SAHB track Anthem from the album Impossible Dream put to a montage of clips as a tribute of Alex, his life and the great music the band produced. Version 2
I was lucky enough to see Alex and the Boys at The Rainbow Theatre here in London with the Wall and Vambo Rules written on the Wall at the back. Awesome Live band and criminally forgotten these days which to my mind is a Disgrace
that's a great compilation of clips set to one of my fave SAHB songs. Saw Alex all over England between 1972 and 1980 with and without the sensationals. always my favorite performer, never a bad show. never.
I’m American from Cleveland, OH! Alex was a huge hit here. I’m only 43 but my parents and their friends saw him live and still rave about SAHB! This song was so ahead of its time. A complete modern day take on propaganda and we are seeing it all play out before us in 2021. I wonder what Alex would add to the global discourse this day and age. If only....
Saw him in Cleveland and briefly met him at the hotel they stayed at when he and Zal (no makeup) were getting on the elevator. No pen or paper to get an autograph, but me and my buddy were certainly starstruck. Chris Glenn was in the hotel bar and I did get his autograph which I still have to this day. Great, innovative band. Great memory.
That was it , he was such a brilliant raconteur, the way that he used his accent as punctuation. My mother used to hear it fro my bedroom and loved his version of The Impossible Dream. She used to disapprove but dine out on my musical tastes....

Agree. Miss him still. He wrote his own funeral song and mine too.
One of the most original bands to come out of the '70's. Beautiful tribute to the late, great Alex Harvey
Still missed Alex. RIP great man
Thank you Alex. For everything.

The most Scottish thing ever made. It makes feel proud - & I'm not even Scottish.
