I took a flier on Ryan and it paid off. The fight should have been stopped in the 7th round. But props to both men for a hell of a fight. Devin has serious heart!
Ryan fought Devin at almost 4 lbs more muscle mass than him. Ryan had the advantage going in. Via the reason he won a title fight, and not the title 💯. And for anyone who doesn't lift, or workout whatsoever, 4 lbs of muscle mass is a big difference, especially to Lightweights 💯. But good fight tho! Salute to Ryan on the win, and salute to Devin for having the heart to go in a fight at a disadvantage like that, and still giving the fans a good fight. And trying to make the best fights happen 💯. James was always an overrated trainer but in this case he was lucky 1) Garcia had the power and speed advantage over Haney and Haney having no chin and 2) Haney's corner was even worse than him...Garcia was turning his back in multiple occasions which has something to say about the lessons from.his trainer...Imho and based on his attributes if Garcia wants to go far he should hire Roach or Bomac

Missing weight was probably part of the plan. Haney was professional and cut the weight draining himself a bit, while Garcia did not. Had they both made 140, or both been on the same playing field as far as weight cut, the fight plays out differently. 3 pounds is a lot.
