    Don’t laugh as I’ve just been given a human skeleton! As a present. It’s something I’ve always wanted and have been looking out for one for many months. Then I spotted one In an antique shop. It’s a beauty, on a stand . I think it’s been used for educational purpose as all the joints are wired in and it has the discs in the back and little plastic things sticking out from them🤔( see I need your videos😁) I knew a few names of certain bones but have now discovered the names of many more thanks to your video, which is brilliant! I’m going to have to watch it a few times as the names shot straight over my head in the hand and feet bones! So interesting. Thank you 👍his name is Ernest...Ernie for short after my grandad! 😉👍

    Hey man, great video on the every bone in the human body! and I gotta say, it's spot-on! Before I dive into Google (or not), could you just quickly fill me in on whether there are differences in the pelvic bones between guys and gals? Your explanations are just too good, and I'm too lazy to look it up. Thanks for making this topic so easy to understand!

    There do the extra 6 bones come from, with the 212 summation at the end and only 206 bones being in the adult human body?

    • @MoreThanSkinDeep
      @MoreThanSkinDeep  3 роки тому +7

      It depends a little on what you class as individual bones! Some would consider the pelvis to consist of only 2 hemipelves, whereas for this video I have divided it into its 6 composite bones. Likewise you could say the sternum is 1 single bone, but I've divided it into its 3 component parts.
      There's no right or wrong answer, it just depends on your perspective!
      Besides, throughout life the number of bones will change as some become fused to one another. Plus there are plenty of anatomical variations where people have more/less bones than would be considered anatomically "normal".

      I could have made it more clear, but I was referring to the carpals vs the tarsals! There are 8 carpals in the hand but only 7 tarsals in the foot. You could consider the sesamoid pisiform bone to be where the "extra" one comes in!
