Hey Marc. Glad you tested this and that TCL is making more phones. I read quite a few books, all on my phone. Cool to see this type of screen specifically for reading. Now if it just had great cameras, it would be an option.
Thx for review. It's a pity. This phone has a nice form factor for handheld reading but a slightly blurred screen experience. The 4G has a proper screen for reading but is super tall. The concept is nice. They could keep a version for the low/mid market and a highend one if there was demand for both. What does not make sense, I think, is to build a reading device that has a low resolution or one that is not pleasant to hold in your hand (also: books, PDFs, many websites not designed for this super elongated screen shape)
Could you please test this and report back? I have a Hisense A5 and on standby it lasts around 10 days. I really want to know how the TCL Nxtpaper 40 5g compares, as this feature is very important to me. Thank you!

Hi John, thanks for the support to my channel 😊 if u read lotz of books, this is really good. The camera is just ok for basic photography, I do agree
@@MarcYeoTechReview I ended up buying the Xiaomi 13T Pro. So I'm not in the market for a new phone right now - thanks in part to your review.

Thanks for the support for my channel and video 😊 i hope that TCL will see your comment
Have u tried the black and white mode after full charge? Wonder will it prolong the standby time?
The stand by time for this phone is long enough tbh in any modes. I can say that with b&w screen being used, battery life increases
