Every once in a great while, you meet an honest person, dealership, etc. I was fortunate to find one of those in my home town. Florida Outdoors in my tiny town of Stuart, Fla., was amazing. I didn’t have to deal with the taxes, tag and all the stuff you mentioned. They also don’t add on all those “dealer fees” that so many of them do. It was only 1 of 2 times in my 58 years that I enjoyed making a big purchase. What a difference that makes in the buying process. I had a blast. Thanks for sharing your experience. Nowadays that’s rare and we all want to know where you can find it.

I can tell right away when I watched Matt on his channel that he was a great guy and very truthful. Love Matt and Andrea. I missed out on buying his sticker with the toilet and I let him know and when I bought the other ones he sent the toilet one with a message. I was surprised but loved the fact he sent that to me. I just caught Matt's video of the 24.1 smallest Class A Thor Axis and saw your video among others to watch. Your title was a surprise as I thought is was a negative about Matt. Thanks for your info. I plan on upgrading to a destination rv when I buy land in a couple years. I love watching his reviews on the different types. I also love that he takes his time to show everything. Even highlighting the negatives, so you can decide how much of an issue that would be for you. Will definitely purchase from him when the time comes. Right now, we're living in our Winnebago Chieftain.
I just started talking to Matt about a Class C rig. He seems like a very nice guy. We are thinking of going to the next Tampa RV Show and making our purchase then. Your video put us at ease with Matt. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I was watching you guys videos on a Cruise America used Class C. Since we are considering a Class C as well, we were watching you guys closely. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Now we feel more comfortable in dealing with General RV. That's great! Hopefully they'll be able to actually have the show in January! I imagine that even if they don't, the dealerships will still do show pricing since that's a huge time of year for them.

I on the other hand, I reached out to Matt late last year (I still have the text), I emailed him, no response and then I texted him and was ignored. I ended up buying my NEW Sprinter Class C from the other guys with a spectacular service and a great deal on my new RV. Congrats again.

I had intended on contacting Matt in April beginning of March then the pandemic came and travel for me as a widowed dad was out of the question. When the time comes my son will be with me. I've never seen any of Matt's videos either, which is surprising to me because I'm always watching RV tours, and not because we're in the market for a new RV because we have a 40 foot fifth wheel. I appreciate this so much we are window shopping lol we aren’t ready but we are doing our research. This is something that we have dreamed off for many many years. My husband and I are in our late 60’s. We looked at a video that Matt’s done on a crossover class C chase but class a look. We have wants and can work with others. I reluctantly decided to watch this and was sure that my gut feelings about Matt after watching several of his reviews and subscribing to his channel were soon to be crumbled up and thrown into the trash. It is quite rare for a salesman to be placed on a pedestal such as has been done here. I do not know either of you but I do believe you are honest people and appreciate the time you took to do the video on your experience. Your praise of Matt, Andrea (she really is part of the team) as well as General just helped me make a serious decision about where to go when I am ready (within a year) to purchase. My gut thoughts about these fine folks remain in tact and I look forward to working with them. Thanks for taking the time to do this, it is very helpful to many who are looking to spend thousands but are not sure where to begin.
That's the whole reason we made this video - creators and critics online are quick to make content complaining about and bashing people but not enough of them make content about positive experiences! We had a fantastic experience with Matt last year and we wanted to make sure people heard about it. Unfortunately he's not selling RVs anymore, but the whole team at General in Ocala was fantastic.

I purchased my 5th wheel at the end of January from the General RV in the Tampa area. It didn't have Matt, but it was a very good buying experience and I've told everyone I know looking for an RV to check them out first. Like your experience, there was no pressure and I was allowed to look, touch, and ask questions until I was satisfied. I even received follow up calls and emails a few days after driving off with my new rig just asking if everything was okay.

Good evening! Thank you very much for this video!! I originally came to your channel to see the "Buying Cruise America Class Cs". Somewhere in there, Matt's channel came up in the algorithm. Wow...I can't believe it has been a month already (thank you Corona Virus) since you went to FL. It seems like it was just last week. And, I REALLY liked your rig! As we've chatted before, wife and I are just doing online searching to see what we'd like. I've really enjoyed watching Matt and Andrea's reviews on their channel. It is encouraging to see your endorsements of Matt and General RV. It reinforces my thoughts of considering to use him. We're over on the western slope of CO. So, their Salt Lake City General RV store really is the same distance as Denver is for us. Plus, I would not discount flying to whichever store, as you did; especially one of the FL stores. If things loosen up a bit, it would be fun to combine a FL RV purchase with a stop in Disney or something like that. Have a great weekend....and stay healthy!
Hi from the other side of the range! We were keeping an eye on the inventory at their SLC store, though that's a bit of a hike from here in Colorado Springs. There's not much out there in terms of motorhomes though. I remember at one point there were 3 used Class A's in SLC and something like 117 between their Ocala and Tampa locations. It's really nuts how many RVs they have down in Florida! If it wasn't for the pandemic we would've left the kids with some friends here and both flown down to drive it back, that would have been a lot of fun!

Are you planning on fulltiming or just traveling for fun? We retired and moved to Florida too. We have a house in SW Florida and a class A we travel in during the spring, summer and fall. Winter's are awesome in Florida!
Winter in Florida is the BEST! We spent 5 months down there last winter and then just experienced 8 months of winter here in Colorado. We can't wait to head down there again this year!

I have a rental RV business and purchase RV's from General RV. I also have had above and beyond help cross referencing Norcold fridge control panels, fixing issues beyond my expertise, and having roof vents in stock, LOL. Great company for sure.

I drove it from Arizona to my grandkids in Wichita and then home to Wa State in terrible weather. Kind of scary but fun. My two year old grandson in Phoenix named it Nana Bus.

Matt's a great guy, and definitely genuine. On the live stream this evening someone asked whether they should use their own bank or finance through the dealer - he said he doesn't care, use wherever you get the best rates. I doubt most salesmen would say that since dealerships make so much off of their financing deals, but he's just being honest and telling people the right information.

He was clearly worn out from being on his feet and shaking so many hands, but his personal warmth and enthusiasm hadn’t diminished. Love the thumbnail, initially I was worried there would be some negative things about Matt. His passion and work ethics really inspiring. Having a thumbnail like that although is borderline “clickbait” is great. Many people might not have clicked it otherwise and got an honest review and testament from real customers that have worked with him. We’re based in CA, and will def consider making a purchase through Matt when we’re ready.

I'm retired and live in Ocala. Have been looking around for a small Class C no larger than 27 feet. How are the other sales people at General? Are they all as honest and straight forward as Matt? It's also very important that the management/owner is honest and straight forward as Matt works for them and I would believe can only do so much on his own. I did peruse General's website and see that they mostly deal in new and nearly new motorhomes which are quite a bit beyond what I am willing to pay. However, I plan to check in with them to see what they can do in a somewhat older unit within my budget.

Glad y'all had a great experience with General RV. My experience was less than I expected. Matt's video review of our Entegra 29L is what led us to General. I emailed Matt prior to our purchase and never heard back from him....
I just bought the same / similar but new from the dealer that where Matt was before General. It was right when he had already left. I wish I was dealing with him. I am a little disappointed in my experience with them. And it was not my first purchase from them. So my next purchase will probably not be with them. So props to to you guys and Matt for making your experience go so well.

Yeah, he's *definitely* a salesman 😜 - but it doesn't feel right calling him that because of the negatives that go along with that term. He definitely treated us right while we were shopping around, and he went way above and beyond while I was down there in person!
It was refreshing to hear any issues were resolved in 2 hours. We had a down payment on a new Thor at C.W.The passenger seat was stuck in full recline, loose trim, etc. 3 days later, nothing fixed. We got our deposit back and walked (ran!) away. Ended up with a 43 foot Newmar.

It can make you if you do right by your customers, and even more quickly wipe you out if you are uncaring, lazy or unethical in the customers opinion.Happy customers= repeat business and tons of referrals.

We bought a 2021 Thor Vegas with a little over 2400 miles on it, second owner and signed the paperwork in April 2021 at GV. Two windshields later and loss of camping. The windshield was cracked due to stress (not rocks! we took pictures) when we went to preinspect it. The fridge did not work and they were actually working on it while we were there previewing it. Broke down twice after that and GV finally got it to work right after two failed camping weekends. Batteries were boiling over and the RV stunck like rotten eggs; the power awning canopy fell off when I extended it for the second time since we bought it, and now the BM Pro is not communicating with the ONAN generator. The cockpit A/C has never worked correctly and has been at Ford for the past three and half weeks. We have a service advisor who has been supportive throughout this mess and outright lemon, but the service is spotty, sloppy, and slow. Thor has not been much better, with service personnel who are helpful, but not useful. Our first RV experience has been an updated version of "The Money Pit!". Only positive experience is the follow up with Liberty Ford and their Truck service manager. Most companies would be out of business with their service model. Thor deflated our expectations of Happy Camping in their RV product.

I plan on upgrading to a destination rv when I buy land in a couple years. I love watching his reviews on the different types. I also love that he takes his time to show everything. Even highlighting the negatives, so you can decide how much of an issue that would be for you. Will definitely purchase from him when the time comes. Right now, we're living in our Winnebago Chieftain.

I've never seen any of Matt's videos either, which is surprising to me because I'm always watching RV tours, and not because we're in the market for a new RV because we have a 40 foot fifth wheel. Phew, oh boy, I said all of that to say, thank you for working with Matt because now I'm following him! He's a hoot and such a joy to watch! 😀

I appreciate this so much we are window shopping lol we aren’t ready but we are doing our research. This is something that we have dreamed off for many many years. My husband and I are in our late 60’s. We looked at a video that Matt’s done on a crossover class C chase but class a look. We have wants and can work with others. It great to know that Matt is in our backyard we live in Ocala Florida about 15 minutes from General. I’m hoping he will be there once we go for it. Thanks again with your wonderful story

I reluctantly decided to watch this and was sure that my gut feelings about Matt after watching several of his reviews and subscribing to his channel were soon to be crumbled up and thrown into the trash. It is quite rare for a salesman to be placed on a pedestal such as has been done here. I do not know either of you but I do believe you are honest people and appreciate the time you took to do the video on your experience. Your praise of Matt, Andrea (she really is part of the team) as well as General just helped me make a serious decision about where to go when I am ready (within a year) to purchase.
My gut thoughts about these fine folks remain in tact and I look forward to working with them. Thanks for taking the time to do this, it is very helpful to many who are looking to spend thousands but are not sure where to begin.
That's the whole reason we made this video - creators and critics online are quick to make content complaining about and bashing people but not enough of them make content about positive experiences! We had a fantastic experience with Matt last year and we wanted to make sure people heard about it. Unfortunately he's not selling RVs anymore, but the whole team at General in Ocala was fantastic.

I purchased my 5th wheel at the end of January from the General RV in the Tampa area. It didn't have Matt, but it was a very good buying experience and I've told everyone I know looking for an RV to check them out first. Like your experience, there was no pressure and I was allowed to look, touch, and ask questions until I was satisfied. I even received follow up calls and emails a few days after driving off with my new rig just asking if everything was okay.
That is great! We're hearing some not awesome things about the stores up north, but it sounds like the Florida stores have got their stuff together!

Good evening! Thank you very much for this video!! I originally came to your channel to see the "Buying Cruise America Class Cs". Somewhere in there, Matt's channel came up in the algorithm. Wow...I can't believe it has been a month already (thank you Corona Virus) since you went to FL. It seems like it was just last week. And, I REALLY liked your rig! As we've chatted before, wife and I are just doing online searching to see what we'd like. I've really enjoyed watching Matt and Andrea's reviews on their channel. It is encouraging to see your endorsements of Matt and General RV. It reinforces my thoughts of considering to use him. We're over on the western slope of CO. So, their Salt Lake City General RV store really is the same distance as Denver is for us. Plus, I would not discount flying to whichever store, as you did; especially one of the FL stores. If things loosen up a bit, it would be fun to combine a FL RV purchase with a stop in Disney or something like that. Have a great weekend....and stay healthy!
Hi from the other side of the range! We were keeping an eye on the inventory at their SLC store, though that's a bit of a hike from here in Colorado Springs. There's not much out there in terms of motorhomes though. I remember at one point there were 3 used Class A's in SLC and something like 117 between their Ocala and Tampa locations. It's really nuts how many RVs they have down in Florida! If it wasn't for the pandemic we would've left the kids with some friends here and both flown down to drive it back, that would have been a lot of fun!

Are you planning on fulltiming or just traveling for fun? We retired and moved to Florida too. We have a house in SW Florida and a class A we travel in during the spring, summer and fall. Winter's are awesome in Florida!
Winter in Florida is the BEST! We spent 5 months down there last winter and then just experienced 8 months of winter here in Colorado. We can't wait to head down there again this year!

Matt's a great guy, and definitely genuine. On the live stream this evening someone asked whether they should use their own bank or finance through the dealer - he said he doesn't care, use wherever you get the best rates. I doubt most salesmen would say that since dealerships make so much off of their financing deals, but he's just being honest and telling people the right information.

Love the thumbnail, initially I was worried there would be some negative things about Matt. His passion and work ethics really inspiring. Having a thumbnail like that although is borderline “clickbait” is great. Many people might not have clicked it otherwise and got an honest review and testament from real customers that have worked with him. We’re based in CA, and will def consider making a purchase through Matt when we’re ready.

I'm retired and live in Ocala. Have been looking around for a small Class C no larger than 27 feet. How are the other sales people at General? Are they all as honest and straight forward as Matt? It's also very important that the management/owner is honest and straight forward as Matt works for them and I would believe can only do so much on his own. I did peruse General's website and see that they mostly deal in new and nearly new motorhomes which are quite a bit beyond what I am willing to pay. However, I plan to check in with them to see what they can do in a somewhat older unit within my budget.
We only worked closely with Matt and one of the business office guys but everyone Brian encountered in Florida was very friendly and helpful.
Great to know because we intend to buy from matt once we buy!! Will probaly go there and look sometime soon :) awesome to hear it went so well!

Glad y'all had a great experience with General RV. My experience was less than I expected. Matt's video review of our Entegra 29L is what led us to General. I emailed Matt prior to our purchase and never heard back from him....
I just bought the same / similar but new from the dealer that where Matt was before General. It was right when he had already left. I wish I was dealing with him. I am a little disappointed in my experience with them. And it was not my first purchase from them. So my next purchase will probably not be with them.

Yeah, he's *definitely* a salesman 😜 - but it doesn't feel right calling him that because of the negatives that go along with that term. He definitely treated us right while we were shopping around, and he went way above and beyond while I was down there in person!
Five2Go i mean it in the nicest possible way. When I am back in the market I will be contacting him.
It was refreshing to hear any issues were resolved in 2 hours. We had a down payment on a new Thor at C.W.The passenger seat was stuck in full recline, loose trim, etc. 3 days later, nothing fixed. We got our deposit back and walked (ran!) away. Ended up with a 43 foot Newmar.
We've heard nothing but horror stories about buying rigs at CW. We go there for accessories all the time, but we'd never buy an RV there.

It can make you if you do right by your customers, and even more quickly wipe you out if you are uncaring, lazy or unethical in the customers opinion.Happy customers= repeat business and tons of referrals.

We bought a 2021 Thor Vegas with a little over 2400 miles on it, second owner and signed the paperwork in April 2021 at GV. Two windshields later and loss of camping. The windshield was cracked due to stress (not rocks! we took pictures) when we went to preinspect it. The fridge did not work and they were actually working on it while we were there previewing it. Broke down twice after that and GV finally got it to work right after two failed camping weekends. Batteries were boiling over and the RV stunck like rotten eggs; the power awning canopy fell off when I extended it for the second time since we bought it, and now the BM Pro is not communicating with the ONAN generator. The cockpit A/C has never worked correctly and has been at Ford for the past three and half weeks. We have a service advisor who has been supportive throughout this mess and outright lemon, but the service is spotty, sloppy, and slow. Thor has not been much better, with service personnel who are helpful, but not useful. Our first RV experience has been an updated version of "The Money Pit!". Only positive experience is the follow up with Liberty Ford and their Truck service manager. Most companies would be out of business with their service model. Thor deflated our expectations of Happy Camping in their RV product.
