Reflux condenser design by me and built 2.5" by 1m.

- This is how I built my 1 meter column with 2.5" (63mm) copper pipe. I used 3 meters soft annealed copper pipe by 6.3 mm (1/4") that they use for refrigeration to wind the coil. I used 3 end caps at bottom of reflux condenser of 50mm (2") and 12.7mm for the down runners with holes drilled in the sides . The up going vapour tube 19mm (3/4") is solid where the end caps (2") are and made it purrferated where it's on the inside of the reflux coil , I then capped the top off completely. The outlet 90* vapours tube is 19mm (3/4"). The top 65mm (2.5") end cap to fit at the top of the column.

Looks great job sir. I built very similar one, but could not regulate the temperature by the reflux condenser. I read your explanation about reflux condenser water flow, and looks flowing very slow. I tried but still could not manage? Do you ıse cold or hot water for reflux condenser? If it is hot what is the temperature for entrance to the condenser?

Nice work. My brother and I am are determined to do a still build... I want to start with a simple and effective design. We have fabrication skills and resources. Do you have an opinion on the design of a column build for beginners?
Reflux still is the way to go.Similar to mine you welcome to use my condenser design created by myself as it's all about Reflux. Very good results. You can have a look at my other videos on Reflux column, cheers
I#m Currently working on a 3" colom, whit a Liebig Kühler in a 42mm Tube. From 2" to 3" you doubble the square. ;)
