Never seen someone so afraid of the throttle don't be scared champ
@xprocharged1 haha beast doesn't come into it mate I could be a 7 year old girl on a crf50 and still out ride that dude haha love how everyone got salty over this lighten up cunts and have a laugh life's to short 🤣
@@xprocharged1 lmao but It did seem like you were babyìng the bike tho
I was waiting for a grandma to pass him on her electric sit and scoot 😂. Looks fun but can’t call this a comparison if you aren’t gonna push the Amazon bike at all
the driver is made in china too?
I feel like you were sand bagging the Apollo. The CRF is defiantly no comparison, but when your partner was riding he was actually riding at it appeared the bike did ok.
i had apollo 10 yrs ago , on track with lots of bendy bendys the crf was still faster but apollo was suprisingly close ... but , suspension was definetly terrible , i mean it is TERRIBLE
Bro wasn't even changing gears
Yeah he sand bagged the shit out of that apollo, yeah its not a name brand, but my buddy has one, he upgraded the bike, I have ridden it, its not a track bike at no means, but with tuned right and better parts, it can handle it out. Its' not the the machine it's the rider in this video for sure.
I like how you cut the part where the your friend on the Apollo walks you on the Honda after y’all switched. Lol 😂 y’all have fun.
I believe the problem was the first raider 😅!!!
I’m surprise the RFZ Has held up for so long
I fucking love you guys keep up the good work
The plastic and rubber on my Apollo basically started to disintegrate after a year.
Did an egr delete and stock airbox delete now my exhaust gets red hot right behind the heat shield what is that ? A cat converter or something like that im mad confused....i was thinking to much air not enough fuel ? Or valve adjustment?? Any info helps.....its a 2018 apollo 250rx
Kinda sad the way you rode the bike made it seem like it wasn’t a good bike when it’s pretty obvious you didn’t give it a fair shot or rip on it like you should’ve
Were the hell did you get a Honda 250 for 4 grand 🤣
Nice lil whistlin diesel reference. "Grab my shotgun"
I like how you let it drop...that's funny
Realistically that honda cost no more then 2k😂😂
seriously? never heard that apollo get over 3500-4000 rpm lol.
@@Matthew-ib2kz don’t have to be new to using a clutch to not stretch out gears when you’re trying to go for a top speed run lol
This comparison is apples to aircraft carriers . A better comparison would be the Apollo to a crf 230f . The Apollo actually has a 223 cc engine . They just call it a 250 plus crap suspension, weighs 300 pounds ... you get the idea .
65cc 2 stroke or crf150 would be more fair , its in the similar ball park with power , wich isnt much
Rfz sounded better than that honda😂
Make more videos I love them
Y’all started riding and was like dang this looks familiar and then when y’all drove over to the sand pit I was like that’s ol gator run
What happend to the deer gun season vids? I loved those! Btw just got my first deer saturday. A little doe but it was awesome
Just Because Of the engine displacement that does not mean its fair The CRF has like 2x the hp
Engine displacement is literally how they separate motocross classes 😂 and no shit a Chinese 250 can’t compete w a japenese bike they did the vid for fun
That 250 has a nasty valve tick, shim them valves before that motor detonates, and I love the videos no hate, but almost 4K for a old 250r?
Idk what type of Apollo y’all got but I got the same 250 just with green plastics changed it to an aftermarket carb and it’s louder and gives a little bit more
@@brodyvolkening272 at first used a nibbi but the rubber manifold was junk that it came with and I had to find the exact one for the bike. So I just switched to a Mikuni woke the bike up like crazy then did a egr delete and man does it run better
Did you order it off amazon? Im getting the 250 tonorrow and i want to switch the carb out as soon as possible
@@brodyvolkening272 yessir got the carb from Amazon and got this red fuel screw had numbers 1-3 on it and helps a lot with trying to get to that screw instead of usin a flathead every time
@@brodyvolkening272 also might wanna lock tight sprocket bolts and motor mount bolts I’ve had mine for a year and broke both my motor mounts and had to get them welded Jus bc they would not stay in after I lock tighten them tho perfect
The possibility of bike not turning over was enough for me to give up on the Apollo
also like everyone is the comments is saying, its a 4 stroke hit that damn throttle. 4strokes off the bat are more stable rides then a 2 stroke, and a longer powerband
You went up those hills in 2 and 3rd lol shifted so early in races lol 😆
the honda is putting out somewhere around 35hp ,its been a while since I checked dyno specs...That apollo is probably around 14hp....couple that with the weight differences...
My Apollo has 18hp from the factory and with a bigger jet it goes noticably faster and has at least 20hp. Even tho its heavy it is a good beginers bike. I got it used for 700€ and had a lot of fun with it even tho it breaks all the time. I changed the valves on mine myself and had to do a lot of things to keep it going so its a great way to learn to fix bikes. Now im saving up to buy a real bike but its expensive i need at least 2500€ for a used good bike like this honda here in Europe.
I hear the Apollos are weak but before my Templar 250 was stolen at work, thing was an absolute beast.
5:50 why you geared so high tho? There’s no way your serious right? I’m pretty sure no ones gonna make it up a hill in 4th gear 😂
Sounds like the idles really high on the Honda
Bro why do you ride so slow and low on rpms ?
Bro you funny as fuck you should do stand up
U need turn idle down on Honda and sounds like it needs valves adjusted Make sure u check oil and change it a lot these new 4 strokes cost a lot to fix so keep it maintained
I was considering getting an Apollo until now
its defo the rider in this video he just is either new or sucks at riding the bike
@@lindabrown_87 why do you own one?
How long have u had it? You like it then?
@dsd-downshiftdave8056 I got 2 of the apollos, I have the 125 and the 250, swap put the carbs and they're just fine. The motors are literally Honda clones.
@@Guap303 ok but why buy a bike and have to swap out the carbs
Why not just buy a bike with decent carbs and save the trouble, I'm sure the shocks, brakes and other components are superior on the honda
GLORY TO GOOD THE GOOD LORD
How fast does the Chinese one go
I had that Apollo one point in my life. It’s the biggest piece of crap on the planet
@@ThirdStrikeGaming for a first bike i dont think its that bad, most of the time it user error and they blame the bike. yes its no honda or ktm but its not bad
@@SirSteve346 it’s just weak. The bike overhaul feels under powered even tho it says 250. It rides like a 125
We must protect this kid at all cost... Great video bud don't listen to these assholes just stay out there riding you'll get way better...funny as hell LMFAO
quad ricer vibes
"Grab my shotgun" my ass dead
The idle on your Honda is super high!!!!!!!!! Turn it dowwnnnnn
Those cg250 - zongshen 250s are Honda crf230f clones. Only difference is stator, stator cover, transmission. Everything else is the same from cylinder, head, cams and mounta
Omgg my eyes with the Honda😖
Karma at its finest soons you said the cheaper bike was more fun😂😂 then played it off what a character 😂
Yea not giving no throttle. Like why am i not going n sand😂
Get a ssr they have more more power than a Apollo
No to sound cocky but bro can you actually ride them bikes next time
Is that a spider?! ...Grab my shotgun.
HAHAHA there's not comparison man 🤣 😂
A better comparison would be the Chinese 250 vs a honda crf125f.
I have that Apollo and I rode it enough times to know I hate it and it now sits in my garage. I will never ride it again and I will not rip someone else off by selling it. I would put up with all it's flaws for the price of it, I'm not looking to race just go for a ride every now and again but I cannot physically ride it without an actual mouth guard as it is so bumpy I am afraid I will break my teeth. I swapped out the carb for a Mikuni and it seems to tolerable as far power, and now it actually idles. But I cannot find a shock that will fit it other than the stock one, I don't have a welder to modify it, and that shock has no travel whatsoever. I sit on it it go's down about and inch, I get off it comes up and inch. I have tried every possible tension in the spring, every possible P.S.I in the dampening. The bikes ridiculously heavy and not even slightly comparable to a dirt bike by design. I ABSOLUTELY HATE that bike. I have Chinese bikes for my kids and they are worth what I paid for them. This bike never should have been.
So, you're saying, for a guy that just wants a fun toy to rip around some trails with, it's not worth it? I almost seriously considered it
@@Nboggs1112 Well, The ride is horrible. So bad it really takes the fun out of riding. I would rather go for a walk. Like I said; I WILL NOT sell it as I could never live with myself knowing I totally screwed someone over. Now, I have grown up on Japanese bikes so I can't help but compare. If you never have ridden a "Good" bike you my not be as judgmental as I am. And my shock may be defective. But the amount of work involved in changing it, not worth buying a new one only to find it's the same as the old one. This bike comes in a street legal version apparently, if you are buying it for the road, I think it would be just fine after a carb upgrade. You can avoid big bumps on the road.
You should get pit bike
Why are you so scared of the throttle
Change gears and give more throttle
Down shifting and the throttle are your friends.
Dude your Honda’s dial is tooooo highhh
Better scoot up on that gas tank!
The Apollo should be called the NUTBUSTER.
The only Chinese brand of motorcycle of good quality is LIFAN.
That Honda sounds terrible. Needs an idle and valve adjustment. About to send a valve through your piston
Your bike is idling way to high
Like bro it has gears for a reason!!!!Shift the freaking thing
Appolo handle is look like a chopper
Your idol is a little high
Hmmm,... a trail bike vs a Motocross bike? AT 00:56,... is that's a metaphor for things to come! LOL But,.. still, it is an old USED CRF250, vs a NEW Apollo. The 2 bikes are not in the same category. A CRF250 is a MOTOCROSS bike. The HONDA aircooled 230 would be a more realistic comparison. Let 'er rip.
Dang
That's all I had to hear right there.....suspension like riding on a rock. My son has a Tao DB20 and it's a joke in comparison. Even taking the cost difference into consideration
The guy is in front of you with one bike o the other so is the driver
This isn’t even remotely fair lol
Dude do u not know how to down shift
I JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED APOLLOS 2023 rfz competition 250cc and is no where near that shitty as yours. they do make competition styles and standard. the 250 apollo i just recently bought comes with the 2018 yz250cc motors in them. its a 4 stroke. but i also have a kawasaki 150 2 stroke that stuggles keeping up with the apollo. theres several different factors as to why the apollo is so much cheaper which isnt to be confused with products that cost less then average market value are just bad products in general because thats far from the truth.. honestly alot of apollos ability to last longer in terms of their products is standard maintenence done on it, and possible not dropping it in every video prior to you deciding to race it against a honda 250cc
The power band is around 7,000 RPM you need to man up and learn how to ride and represent your little Apollo
Ummmm... dude you act like you're scared to death to open the throttle.
And it’s idling WAAAAYYY to high
Broo i still believe the crf is better but its clear that this video did not prove anything it was just the driver
Open that thing up.. it's meant to be road hard. The Honda I mean. Don't open the opollo up it'll blow. Their not built to be ridden more than 15 minutes at a time once a week. I've got 7 of em in my garage. None run. None of em ran longer than 3 mos
4:53 why wouldn’t you down shift? And u was shifting way to early
Change riders
first you should lean how to properly ride a dirt bike, but you are going the right way bud
There was definitely some bias
So this guy doesnt know what the throttle is and doesnt shift, got it. Not saying the apollo is better or even decent, but its better than what is portrayed here.
This guy is milking the second bike. No lie
no gloves?
DAG GUM!
Hello 👍
Use the bike, you’re not even trying with the Apollo 😂 and you’ve treated it like shit
If it had more torque it’ll wipe the floor with the crf 😅
also im going off other comments there saying he was leaning to far forward for sand so if he was sitting right he would be fine
Gear down dmamn
this was insanely unfair as you dont know how to use the throttle ive never seen someone so scared
I think you’re just being biased… Not saying the Apollo could outperform the Honda.
I’m saying all other videos I’ve seen show the Apollo looking like an option for someone that really isn’t into riding or folks on a budget. But you’re digging them like they’re trash.
It’s a thumbs down on this video for me
Camera should be with the other/much better rider.
4:42 the reason the bike is all squirrely in the sand is your driving position. You're leaning forward pushing all the traction to the front wheel. For sand and gravel you want to push your weight to the rear. Keep a good straight back posture with your knees tucked in and hips over the pegs. When in sand pretend you're driving a snowmobile. The front wheel acts more like a ski than a wheel. With your weight to the rear the bike has more traction and will naturally want to go straight.
he knows pretty sure he was making a joke out of the apollo
