Great video, James! Always enjoy seeing people's first reactions to Augusta. The place simply doesn't feel real, it doesn't seem like it should exist. Pure heaven. If you have a minute, here's the quick story of my first trip to The Masters in 2017: After 30 years of no luck in the lottery we finally got Wednesday tickets for the practice round and the Par 3 Contest. About 4 hours into a 14 hour drive from Pennsylvania the day before, I started to feel like shit, in the worst pain I'd ever felt. Long story short: I spent Tuesday night in one of Augusta's finest hospital beds because of the worst-timed kidney stone of all time. When I was released in the AM- and after swallowing a handful of painkillers- me and my dad shot straight to the course. Walked thru the gate and directly to 18 tee, finally living out a lifelong dream. While admiring and trembling at the thought of teeing one up and hitting it thru that chute, the siren went off and they evacuated the course due to weather. Devastated, I went back to the hotel until they reopened. When they did, went back and after 90 minutes in line finally got back in. While walking down the 18th fairway the siren rang again and my time in heaven was over. I spent a mere 30 minutes on the course when all was said and done, along with the Par 3 Contest being cancelled for the first time ever. Didn't get to see much that year, but simply stepping foot onto those grounds was a feeling I'll never forget. I'm glad your first time was a little more positive and sunny, and the siren waited until you were leaving to start screaming! Glad you had an awesome time! PS- I got sun poisoning at Oakmont on Sunday of the 2016 US Open, so my luck at majors has never been great.
Been there 3 times. And you were very smart to go on a Practice round day.............the absolute very best time to SEE Augusta. And actually be able to get near the ropes and trod where others won't be able to during the Tournament rounds. Hope you had a great time.
Excellent coverage both inside the gates and outside! I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay in our town. One thing, all those stands, TV towers, and scoreboards are not permanent. They will begin coming down this week. They start setting everything up in February. The big concession, merchandise, and restroom facilities are permanent now days. 20 years ago they were not. Changes outside the gate begin immediately, like the boarder/wall around the tee on #5, now sitting on the old Berkman's Road (which they bought and had rerouted). They are building a tunnel under Washington Road at Gate One and a media complex this year. It will all likely be ready for next year. They haven't bought Washington Road yet but there are rumors, just like their dedicated exit and road off of I-20. Changes to the course start when they close at the end of May. Money, power, and influence. Everything about the place is over the top. Glad you got to witness it.
Thanks for the walk down memory lane James. I had the good fortune to attend the Sunday rounds in both 89 (Omeara) and 90 (Olazabal). I had all of the same feelings of excitement and awe that you expressed in the video. And the fact that Tiger won this year must just be icing on the cake to your visit.
Thank you so much for doing this video! Ive dreamed of going to the Masters for over 20 years. Thank you for giving me a behinds the scenes taste of what it’s like to be there! This just makes me that much more determined to make this trip myself!
Absolutely love seeing people’s first time to the Masters especially when they outwardly show how they feel about it. Good on ya James for that. I’m happy you chose Monday instead of Tuesday though. I’m very lucky that I live about an hour away and I’ve been many times but if my first time was Tuesday 2019 I’d never want to go again. It was absolutely miserable. All due to being mushy and no crosswalks. To get to the back from 1 you could only cross at 11 tee. Imagine 25-30k people coming in going at one choke point. It literally took us 1.5 hours to go about 160-200 feet! Having said all that I tell ya what there is absolutely nowhere else I’d rather be in the world. Just impossible to put into words. We who’ve been are all so lucky. If you come back, I’d love to buy you a couple of those green cups as long as you promise to empty them over a nice conversation.
If I didn't comment before.........................Monday practice round is the absolute best day to go. So much less population. You can actually get next to the greens and fairways. I have been there 3 times.........I have some amazing footage of some amazing people. Jack, Arnie, Greg, Tiger, Gary Player, and others. I am also going to the 2020 Masters.........Monday practice round. Taking my older brother and one of his buds with me. As well as my best golf bud. As I am older, I will choose my holes wisely. Just a ton of walking. Hope you enjoyed it. Seeing the most manicured golf course in the world is worth the trip. I dare you to find a weed. Hope you enjoyed it...........duuuuuuhhhhhhh.
Just got back from my second Masters. I've walked ANGC several times and always get completely exhausted walking all the hills (but in a good way). So, do you think you could walk and play 4 competitive rounds (plus practice rounds) at Augusta National? Who says golfers aren't athletes.
James, I've got tickets to this years Masters. Am I able to bring my dslr camera that also takes video? You obviously took video. I go on the Monday practice and don't want to be escorted off the grounds!
Yes a bit late to this party what with today being end of Round One at Augusta 2023. My money's on Brooksy and he's T1 with Rahm and Hovland. Gotta tick this bucket list next year!
Forgot to ask in my other comment, but what model of Adidas did you use to walk Augusta? I'm old and heavy, so my dogs are barking by the end of the day and all the walking.
I would love to see what you got from the shop and how much it is. If i am planning at trip down I would like to know how much to bring to get what I want.
I've had Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. Guilty as charged. Played a Gary Player course in Tennessee at 1800 feet. Even Liam could drive it 300 yards on that course :O)
I Love the Masters but the thing that bugs me is why does every official look like a harsh cold winter would see them off ha! I think a few younger people could change the stereo type that Golf gets! It’s the same at St.Andrew
props to the masters committee for not charging an arm and a leg for food and beverage. you would have paid $11 for beer and $8 for that sandwich at an nfl game
LOL. Loved the video. Favorite part was watching you cover your mouth watching Tiger like a teenage girl....lol....:) Those Adidas shoes look awesome. You need to get a sponsor to get you some tickets to the weekend rounds. For a proper US breakfast, you should have stopped at the Waffle House.
James Robinson Golf yes that would be good, love your content and like your personality/style. Looking forward to hopefully seeing more from your masters/USA trip. Live your dream to the max 👍
I just want to apologize for the disgusting "american breakfast" from Circle K gas station (shit stale donuts and burnt coffee). Hopefully you try dunkin donuts next time if you're in a bind, or at least shitdonalds, sorry McDonalds for an eggwhite "delight" (Not actually too bad).
Being a American and having being to 41 states. I’ve definitely done the doughnut and coffee breakfast. Your down south though and should of hit a Waffle House and tried their awful grits 👎
piyush mahajan there is Literally no way to describe Augusta. Poeple day that their experience always outdoes their expectations and there was no way to hype it up anynore

Magnificent. I’m absolutely loving the day by day, and living vicariously through yourself and Liam. Well done!
Thanks for the vid. I leave Saturday for my first visit to Augusta. Can’t wait.
Been there 3 times. And you were very smart to go on a Practice round day.............the absolute very best time to SEE Augusta. And actually be able to get near the ropes and trod where others won't be able to during the Tournament rounds. Hope you had a great time.
I absolutely love this tournament since I was a kid. Best of all of them.
Wow, that is the best UA-cam vlog of Augusta I’ve seen. I’ve got to go one day. Keep up the great content James.

We're going to miss you guys being over here thanks for visiting and come back soon and play Whistling Straights up north here!

Just to walk the green grass at the Masters is a dream of mine too. Happy for you guys.
Thank you so much for doing this video!

Great start 2+ hour drive and pit stop for Liam, coffee and doughnuts. Enjoying your videos.
What a fantastic video you have created there on Augusta, thank you thank you thank you 👍👏👏
A clear cup ... or a green cup! And you brought me one of each! Thanks, James!

Hi James great Video can't help but smile at your enthusiasm for the game! keep up the good work, 50K not far away now
Looks like you guys had a great time. Welcome to America . . .

-James from New Jersey
Great video! Shows that even a famous golf pro, like you, are a also a true fan of the game.
Truly enjoying these videos Robbo!
James I'm so happy that you got to experience the Augusta. Us in the states take it for granted. It's indeed a magical place for adult men 😂
Glad you have a great time. felt like i was with you guys with the footage :)
You made that ice cream sandwich look amazing haha
Great vlog and smashing road trip.
Thanks
Quality production! Look like a kid in a sweet shop!
Well James, you saw a Masters Champion! What a great day for golf today!
epic win for Tiger, greatest come back in golf of all time! **cue Rocky theme music ;)
Fantastic 👌🙌👍👍👍
Yes a bit late to this party what with today being end of Round One at Augusta 2023. My money's on Brooksy and he's T1 with Rahm and Hovland. Gotta tick this bucket list next year!
You n Liam like the 2 ronnies, 1 serious tuther taking piss😁👍, enjoyed that mr
Hi James. Great video! Are you still in the Atlanta area? Would love to do a lesson if you had time.
awww nice to see you happy
fantastic vlog James, that's probably going to be as close as i ever get 👍
Forgot to ask in my other comment, but what model of Adidas did you use to walk Augusta? I'm old and heavy, so my dogs are barking by the end of the day and all the walking.
Looks amazing!
Well done James!...Sooo jealous.
Good stuff James , well done
Man I am so jealous! I would have spent a small fortune there..... no doubt about that.
Question? Did you blokes have trouble drivin' on the right side of the road?
I was lucky enough to get to go to the 2005 Saturday and Sunday rounds when Phil won his 1st.
I would love to see what you got from the shop and how much it is. If i am planning at trip down I would like to know how much to bring to get what I want.
Aaron Kennon I worked the Masters through a Vendor relationship. What are you looking to get and I will let you know what to expect to spend?
I've had Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. Guilty as charged. Played a Gary Player course in Tennessee at 1800 feet. Even Liam could drive it 300 yards on that course :O)
Congrats ! you passed the 40,000 subscribers mark !
You are having to much fun. nice
10:16 James 'the love doctor' operating his magic! 😂
Best nerd video ever, filmed by a nerd for nerds!
Sandy Lyle's bunker shot on the 18th,best shot ever😀😀
Forza Italia! I’m pulling for my fellow Countryman Molinari. I do like Tiger as well!
A tad excited James 😂😂😂😂😂
I Love the Masters but the thing that bugs me is why does every official look like a harsh cold winter would see them off ha! I think a few younger people could change the stereo type that Golf gets! It’s the same at St.Andrew
So jelly James!
Must have been great fun
incredible
Bubba is a legend and the chip was genius
That chip though
how did that sunburn come out? Didn't realise that gap on 18 was so small either!
And our hero wins the tourney!
Where did you buy the foldable chair?
James that was 👍
James that would be Tigers Chip!
Cabout 50 bucket lists in one day James!
great blog
props to the masters committee for not charging an arm and a leg for food and beverage. you would have paid $11 for beer and $8 for that sandwich at an nfl game
I thought for sure he walked away from the counter without his card. Had to back it up and pause it.
LOL. Loved the video. Favorite part was watching you cover your mouth watching Tiger like a teenage girl....lol....:)
Those Adidas shoes look awesome. You need to get a sponsor to get you some tickets to the weekend rounds.
For a proper US breakfast, you should have stopped at the Waffle House.
We don't have donuts for breakfast. We have them after breakfast. Right after.
Tiger's Chip is the best shot ever played at the Masters!
In America doughnuts for breakfast is a problem for some.
Got some serious balls bringing a camera into Augusta
Tiger’s chip. How is the sunburn friend?
Lolllll just realized that when I went down there in 2023 we dropped at thn same gas station as you 😂😂
Spend the $30 to have merchandise shipped! (Probably not international though)
Can you bring your camera and video stuff cause I read its not allowed
You can take a camera on Monday
What did you buy then James?
Thinking about doing a video on it maybe?
James Robinson Golf yes that would be good, love your content and like your personality/style. Looking forward to hopefully seeing more from your masters/USA trip. Live your dream to the max 👍
Who won the golf bag last week ?? Not me ? take it you don’t ship to Australia 😂😂
Sean Dann what a beautiful bag it is!! 🤩🤩🤩
I is indeed must be to expensive to post 😂
Sean Dann I would pay it if I won lol 😆 good luck my friend ⛳️🏌🏼
Best shot? Jacks tee shot on 16 age 46. "Be good" "It is"
I know you were looking at how Bubba pulled off that shot, but the girlfriend might not think so😂😂
How do you get tickets
Show what you bought at the Masters clubhouse.
Bubba's wedge shot was better, it's just that tigers was more iconic I think!
What’s the song at 7:09?
I think sandy lyle hitting his 7 iron out of a bunker, was a better shot
Blue moon 🙂 Come on City
My dream is to 1 day go to the masters its heaven on earth to me
Bubba's gap wedge
Who puts orange in beer??? 😂🤣
Pretty much every person who’s ever drunk blue moon my friend
@@JamesRobinsonGolf 😂🤣 never had it. All about the lime wedge in a bottle of Sol tho!
Tiger is Nike not Adidas. You wear wrong.😂
How much weight have gained eating all that junk food?
Plenty!
Tiger wins show me the golf balls

I don’t eat donuts
Too much exaggeration of expression and emotions James.
I know it's the masters,but I believe you are overreacting .
Great video though!;
piyush mahajan there is Literally no way to describe Augusta. Poeple day that their experience always outdoes their expectations and there was no way to hype it up anynore
All we hear is Adidas,Adidas,Adidas,Adidas......Adidas YAWN
This guy has no respect for the Masters or the course. Stop making an exception for yourself and respect the rules.
How was he able to take video? Isn't that against the rules? Surprised Augusta hasn't sent him a letter asking him to take it down.
Too massive for me
Typical Pom....no hat......facepalm!
