Disappointed that Anurag didn't begin this episode by saying "Ab ki baar... Manjeet Sarkar" in the most nasal tone possible (jk, I'm never disappointed with this podcast)
🤣🤣

1:10:20 No bassi was harmed😅😂
Hii Anurag minus verma, I have been following your content since past one year. It has been such a comfort to listen to you talk about similar things I ruminate about often. Grateful for your dedication and honesty towards your work. ❤
Thanks a ton!
Thank you Anurag bhai for having Manjeet to your podcast.
Two gems we really admire and appreciate ❤🙌
Intellectuals ka bhai, AMV Bhai, raised a very interesting point about relatability in the context of Indian comedy videos, specifically noting how Manjeet’s comedy is often not relatable to his audience. I liked Manjeet’s response: as long as his story is unique and interesting, the lack of relatability doesn’t really hinder anything.
I did some introspection and realized that I dislike many (most, to be honest) Indian comedians, especially the ones who do comedy in impeccable English, mainly because I can’t relate to their anecdotes about things like Indigo flights or Tinder, or sometimes simply because they've had privileged lives, went to posh schools, and are able to articulate their thoughts so well that it comes off as funny-when in reality, it’s often just an ordinary observation I’ve had years ago. Yet at the same time, I watch a lot of comedians from the UK, US, or other countries where I have zero relatability. What could I possibly have in common with Bill Burr or Ricky Gervais? And yet, I love their comedy.
I think that’s for two reasons: a) their stories are interesting, as Manjeet pointed out, and b) I’m curious and aspirational. Even if I don’t get the reference or fully understand the joke, I tell myself that at least I’m hearing something new in a foreign language, picking up new words, or learning something random about some American city or state, or their culture. Over time, I consumed so much of their content that when I meet people who are fans of Indian English comedians-whom I initially rejected for being too privileged and unrelatable-I realized I had acquired a kind of pop culture knowledge and vocabulary that even these "privileged" folks don't always know about. This not only gave me a sense of being more informed, but in some ways, I could even make them feel less privileged than me. And that turn of the tables sure feels good.
I’m not sure if this makes sense, but comedy has had a pretty funny impact on my life-pun intended.
That’s quite interesting anecdote!
It was a brilliant podcast, I feel it is more relaxed and gives platform to listen to everyone awesome

10:27 so called "left" in india r just right wingers(economically) who adopted some leftist (socialist-dialectical materialist)aesthetics on social issues.
Basically they r libs.
5 to 10 percent of the Indian population are from the buying population(according to many private companies performed consumer index reports)
1:12:18
In which world then 5 to 10 percent is a "middle class" (10 percent is a highly liberal estimation here) ,forget about marxian pov to disregard middle class concept as a real thing, even right wing neo liberal stardards are too high for india demography.
So India is a poor people's country.
There r multiple videos made by annondyo chakraborty in NEWSCLICKIN where he showcased the same in much more details.
Non middle class/Poor/ working clsss Indian r the absolute majority,
but as u guys said Indian movies mostly showcases the so called middle class and upper class ,rarely about the capitalist(billionaires how they operate in india not some cratoonish depiction) and the poor working class too .
As usual bohot badhiya
Ye episode ka start jab suno, while driving on noida roads, ekk alag kism ki anxiety paida hoti hai!!😅

Beta advice from a seasoned seller ,
Maal pehl free becho bheed lagegi aadat lagegi fir Paisa bnega.
Don't hold onto your jokes, it was a pretty boring conversation.
Remember every appearance chance is a chance to sell.
Don't ruin it or take it for granted.
