Looking great, not sure about the head liner though, why not stick the edges of the cloth behind before fitting? Good effort though and I guess you weren't going for perfect. :-)
Best 22:16 minutes I have watched
Jokes aside,This car has a massive following over here in the UK and have quite a few clubs also. These cars are going up in value. If you restore thst vehicle to a very good standard you will be getting whatever you spend and s lot more besides. I have restored five of those to factory finish and I have a few people asking to keep them in mind for any I may do in the future.
Nice ones here have started going for silly money. And who can blame people for liking these I would have one. This being series one manual with this colour as well would be worth decent money considering this is practically rust free as well
My favourite part was the whole thing.
Noice!!! Cheers mate
Found this channel just because of you, sir. Thanks a lot! I love knowing more about cars over the pond.
I paid $400 for my '86 SD1 Vanden Plas. It had sat in my street for six years and eventually the council towed it away for scrap but luckily I was able to rescue it. I've had exactly the same problems in my restoration with the fuel system and brakes but it's almost ready for rego now. Joining the club is one of the best things I've ever done, and can save you a heap of money on rego.
I've been waiting for another video for this car for a LONG TIME now lol, but I'm glad I finally got another one! Cheers!
Nice work chaps!
Nice job 👍
This is the point you discovered the British car industry’s insane reliance on self-tapping screws, I’m guessing. 🤣
Nice work though, makes me miss my SD1.
love the series
Wow 😮 the SD1 looks like it just came out of the factory 🤔 and if you had been around in the 1980s James you’d know what I mean 😂, let’s just say the quality was never great. Love the tact and panache of Aussie str8 talking 😂. Yep it’s your channel. Your a braver man than me James PPE or no PPE I wouldn’t have cleaned it , ASS JUICE 😁😂😂. Oh and thank Huge for finding all those UNNECESSARY 🤔 bolts and screws 😉, nice sense of humour mate , looking for to the next video 👍🏻
Cheers mate! Thanks for watching
I do enjoy a good cleaning video. Nice one!
Well done lads 👍👍👍👍
Good one oz.
Oh and yeah I would have gone to the Pub anyway 😂😂🍺🍺
What should happen after?
Your rain channels are clogged check that if that ain't it u need door seals bro
Take out the car interior and find no money. you've been robbed.
I understand the transformation , but wouldnt it hsve been simple to just rip the carpet out and then clean it?
I don't doubt that you could restore it, but get rid of it If it turns out to be problematic. Best off putting your efforts and money into some other classic, maybe Australian or American.
