- Buzzbait fish...in February? That was one of the questions on our minds as me and my partner Josh prepared for this event on Lake Martin. High, muddy water pushed us up shallow with moving baits and we had a great day!

What are your spinning set ups? Always been a baitcaster guy but I’m trying to broaden the horizon a little 😂
I love baitcasters! Luckily I grew up trout fishing so a spinning rod has always been comfortable with me.
I would start with a 7’ medium rod and a 2500 size reel. I like Shimano on both rods and reels but everyone has their preference. Spool it up with 10lb braid, learn how to tie a leader knot with some 10lb flouro and go to work!
