    I'm actually starting to really get the bounce after just these practice sessions. The slow mo really helps for double checking hand positioning and doing that U shape swiftly is really the kicker for getting the end of the slinky to turn downward. The one problem I have is sometimes my fingers on my grip hand get stuck in the coils and it adds in another tension wave that messes up the movement

    • @sorcererCermet
      @sorcererCermet 3 місяці тому

      yes the slomo is invaluable. i was really struggling until i realized that the slinky basically fully collapses in the "grab hand" before hitting the target. now that i understand that im at about 50% accuracy for hitting and catching. should have it somewhat down in a week 🙏🙏

    After doing this for around 2-3 weeks I can finally do the trick pretty consistently and its so satisfying!
    Some things I learned are that the U shape is VERY IMPORTANT. One of my biggest problems was that when I tried to bring the slinky back, it didnt land flat in my hand. Thats because I wasnt doing the U shape and I was more so making a sort of half U.
    Also, make sure you throw it out and bring it back in parallel to your platform hand, because obviously thats where you want it to go. I had trouble with this mostly because I wasnt focusing on doing this when it does require some focus to do. I just dismissed it as obvious and didnt actually do it.
    Also make sure you put enough energy into it, and that when you bring it back in doing the U shape, you match the speed of your U shape with the speed of the slinky.
    Edit: I just did this trick a few more times and noticed that the trick only properly works when you let the energy of the slinky COMPLETELY hit the surface of the object youre slinking. You might need to wait longer than you think until pulling it back it

    When slinky is bouncing back, it can super tangle, causing spring deformation when you untangle it.

    Your camera appears to have suffered what could possibly be radiation damage to its sensor. That's possibly what is causing the "dead pixel"-like spots. A video from 9 months ago shows the damage has increased since then. I don't watch your videos regularly, so unless you know what has caused this, I would acquire a geiger counter and look in to this if I were you. Maybe go back through your videos and see when the damage increases and do your best to think of why that might be. Best of luck.
