Have to give it up to the character Candy, the writing for Candy, and the actress. I think there was a collective eye roll when she walks on screen for the first time to realizing midway she is actually a really nice person, to loving her at the end.
It was honestly one of the better twists on network TV because you have no reason to suspect a twist there. Lucifer going off and doing what he did makes sense for the character. As a viewer, you're happy to go on the journey of "who is this woman?" to "oh, she's actually really nice" and assume that's it.
@@divinelangene6813 and people have the audacity to call her an ungrateful bitch for "I don't need you anymore." Seriously. If you look up a clip of the scene where she says that to him, the comments section is full of Chloe hate.
17:17 One of my favorite, subtle 4th wall breaks - Lucifer playing his own title/theme song on the bass - and we finally get lyrics to it and they're very fitting for when watching the show - "Crime solving devil, it makes sense, don't overthink it."
This is one of my favorite episodes of Lucifer because it gets better upon second watching once you know what's REALLY going on. In hindsight, you can see all the subtle things that Candy is doing and the fact that Lucifer's mom suspected that something was up is a credit to her intelligence.
I really like Candy, such a cool "thing/twist/concept" whatever you want to call it, really surprised me in a good way, wish she'd stuck around for a few more episodes
I'm not even going to lie. Candy Morningstar is not only my favorite side character in the series, I like her more than I like half the regulars. So much fun.
She is in my top 5 for this show. I knew from the beginning the first time I watched this episode that there was something more at play. I just didn't know what.
I love Candy ❤ And Lucifer is so honorable, he didn’t just pretend to marry Candy because he doesn’t lie. He was actually went the distance and married her with the intention of divorcing her when he found out what his mother was up to. Hope we get to see Candy again 😜
Your reactions are full of energy, humor, and just fun to watch. Thank you. One thing for certain, you never know what Lucifer is going to do but it somehow makes sense… from his perspective.
So Candy actually _was_ the most formidable opponent that the Goddess of All Creation had ever faced! The Goddess was right, and Amenadiel was wrong! ☺
My problem with Candy is that as much as love Detective's actress, Candy blows her out of the water on all fronts. She's just... wow. I know looks are not why Lucifer loves whom he loves, but still.
You have every right to be angry with Lucifer in this episode regardless of why he did it because NONE OF THIS IS EXPLAINED TO CHLOE! To Chloe, he made her believe that he wanted her, ghosted her for two weeks, and then comes back married to someone else. There are people who think that Chloe is a bitch telling him "you let me down. I don't need you anymore," but she had every right to say that. Instead of trying to prove that she needs him, he should've been trying to prove that he's still a reliable partner who has her back. Sorry for the long ass rant. I love your videos. I was beyond happy when I saw you were doing Lucifer. ❤

Love Candys character. She subtly shows her smarts throughout the episode but plays her part perfectly.
If you listen to when he sings, "crime solving devil it makes sense don't overthink it," he's singing the melody to the theme song 🤣
"Friends! Yes! That's what we are! Just friends!" You can see her heart just shattering when he says that.
Yeah, she actually had tears in her eyes, shame

Candy is awesome. Can't help but enjoy the bromance between Lucifer and Dan here.
Great reaction to this great, fun and twisty episode! I enjoy your reactions very much.
Watching Chloe struggle with the realization the Lucifer had just completely abandoned her is just SO FUCKING HARD TO WATCH!
Another great SoFie reaction to Luci! Thanx
Been waiting for your reaction to this episode it’s going to be fun watching your face . . .
I wanted to be the first comment ✌🏼enjoying your videos soFie 😊
"She's the most formidable opponent I've EVER faced."
Reminder - this is coming from a divine entity who clashed with GOD previously.

Lucifer grossly misunderstood what Chloe meant when she told him she didn't need him anymore.
“Hi, I’m Candy.”
“Of course you are.”
You need a new UA-cam channel - "Sing Along With SoFie!"
Yes!
I've been thinking this since I heard her sing along with the firefly intro.
Candy is an acquired taste.
We need more regular episodes!! You think this is good, oh it only gets more twisted and exciting from here!!
Cant wait for her to react to season 4, it's going to take a while 😂😂😂

The double standards, when Lucifer pushes Chloe away its fine, but when Chloe does it to him the fandom goes crazy, i hope Sofie doesnt
candy>>>>>> maze. Candy far better character than maze will ever be.
Hi! I just subbed! I think you would love "The Lord of the Rings!"
This is the only episode where Lucifer upset me😂
I was so dissapointed in him
