Nah. Since you’re on headphones mode, plugging in your actual headphones will still produce sound. Anyways i used the first method and it finally worked but it took sometime so i started doubting it.

the way i fixed my phone is i put airplane mode on and did an icloud backup and it worked please get this to the top to help others

Same here, but I didn't turn on airplane mode. Although, I've tried all three methods provided with the video and I was pleasantly surprised that it made sound with the third option, so i knew that my speakers weren't damaged (mine fell into a toilet :^) ). So I tried to reset to factory settings and it didn't work, but as soon as I restored backup information, played with the volume buttons, it showed up as "volume". Hope it helps for others with the same problem.

If the video didn't help, if you have a bluetooth speaker, connect your phone to it then play a song for about 15 seconds then disconnect bluetooth on your phone, and it works again!
Or you can call someone on the phone, put it on speaker then hang up, that works too!

GUYS!!!! THIS HAS BEEN MY SOLUTION!!:
Clean the plug hole LOTS AND LOTS OF TIMES! Use the cotton thing like he shows us, but my advice is to moisten one part with your tongue (not that much, it shouldn’t be wet, just a little moist) and use it first. Push it as far as you can go, and rotate it several times. If you’ve never done it before and your iPhone isn’t new, it MUST be dirty. After you use the moist part, use the other part as well. Repeat it until you see dirt. If it keeps coming out clean and white, you’re not done with it.

I tried the 3rd method . After rebooting the phone -settings - sounds and try changing the ring tones and it did sounded from speaker.
But I went back to UA-cam it was showing HEADPHONE MODE
BUT. When I changed the video it popped out of head phone mode.
So after trying with changing ring tones if did not work then close the UA-cam app and reopen or change the video

Just rub the qtip up against the bumps along the edges of the headphone jack . Mine worked after a couple minutes of cleaning it

This helped! So much! My phone got rain in it today and even after putting it in rice for hours and playing the frequency to get water out, nothing brought me speakers out of headphone mode. Turned out there was a bunch of dirt and yuck in my headphone jack that just got worse with the water damage. Restarting the phone and cleaning the jack worked!! Thank you so much!!! I was hopeless a few minutes ago.
I got y’all. First method: clean headphone jack. Use cotton swab like in video. Play with volume up and down buttons as you clean.
Second: hold power and volume button for 3 seconds (basically reset it)
Third: go into settings, sounds, ringtone, click on a couple ringtones and play with volume all up all down. Then go back to home screen and hit the volume up and down

What helped me: Plug headphones in. Then go to settings and play a ringtone. While the ringtone is playing, pull out the headphones

What worked with me is that I 1) I called from a different phone 2) Put speaker mode On 3) Put speaker mode Off 4) Connected the headphones On 5) Connected headphones Off. This worked and I could here the sounds again without using headphones. Hope this helps somebody. Like this comment so people can see it!

Tried everything in this video and almost everything in the comments and was convinced the only way to fix my phone was to take it in and get the headphone jack replaced. But then I tried calling someone on speaker phone, and now my phone works just like normal, with and without headphones!!!! The person I called didn't even pick up!!! If q-tip doesn’t work for you try using a straw cleaning brush with bristles. None of the 3 worked for me until I did this and worked immediately!

What I did to get the sound working again was using the q tip to remove water or any other particles, then I leaned my device in an almost a vertical direction with the headphone jack facing to the ground. I waited for about 30 minutes and it works. (When I tested by watching this video it was a bit of a shocker to me as the volume came in without warning) This may or may not work for you, so if it doesn’t work try something else because I would be a bit frustrated when I would try another strategy and it wouldn’t work. Just keep experimenting.

Step #1 worked for me, thank you! Dropped my phone in the shower and some water must’ve gotten in the headphone jack. Used a qtip and only worked after i took off enough cotton to get all the way in til the end. The tip and sides of the qtip removed a bit of dark dirt before it started working again.

IT’S FIXED! This happened to me last night!! I accidentally got water on my phone that’s why it gut stuck on headphone mode. I did all the tips i found here on youtube but it all did not work. I went to Quora and searched for solution. I found one which WORKED!
It said that you just have to charge you phone overnight/the whole day with your brightness turned all the way up, Bluetooth on, cellular data on and turn off the sleep settings while you charge it. It will make your phone heat up and the moist inside your phone will get dry!
I woke up this morning and i was surprised to see the the headphone icon on my volume is finally gone! 😃

Dropped my phone in the shower, had to use headphones to hear sound thought it would be better by the morning still no use. Looked up this video and was frustrated for about 15 to 30 minutes but still kept using Q-tip method after about another 15 minutes restarted the phone and now my volume works good as new!

i cleaned mine with wet q tip bc it’s dirty and i suffer with this issue now
Nothing worked, tried everything. I spent 4 hours, was ready to throw my phone and finally a miracle happened.
1. Call someone on loud speaker
2. Go into spotify/ any music player
3. Play with your volume buttons, you should hear the music and be on call at the same time
5. Play with the buttons for a minute
6. Hang up on the person
7. Go back into spotify/music player and play with the buttons (mine went to headphone mode but then went back to normal)
