Grandparents Meet Grandchild for the First Time From NICU. Emotional Surprises

Hey there, welcome back to Humanly Hub! Today, we're sharing heartwarming moments of grandparents meeting their grandkids for the first time after a stay in baby care unit.

I worked in a hospital for 44 years. During that time, I had to visit the NICU a lot and it broke my heart every time. BUT... the care and love the Nurses gave to these infants was wonderful. They treated every baby as their own. It was also hard on those Nurses but they did everything in their power to see the little ones go home. One other thing... I can't speak for other hospitals but we were lucky to have older volunteers (grandmas) that would come in Every Day and hold and rock every baby in the Newborn and NICU area when their mothers or fathers couldn't be there. Every baby was loved by the staff. I'm 77 years old now and forgot about that part of my life, until I saw this video. Thanks Humanly Hub for reminding how families react when the child gets to go home.
