Inkosi Phinda Shembe succeeds his late brother Vela Shembe

The Nazereth Baptist Church, commonly known as the Shembe Church, has a new leader. Inkosi Phinda Shembe has taken the reins of leading the church, which attracts approximately five million followers. He succeeds his late brother Vela Shembe who died last month after a short illness. The eagerly awaited announcement was made this morning at Mthwalume, in KwaZulu-Natal south coast.
