One important addition to the Althyk and Nymeia fight is that Nym has two different card variations. One some occasions she'll use the Pyretic/Ice cards as shown in the guide but on other occasions she'll use a Love card that causes a gaze attack. If the Love card remains upright then you need to look away from Nym when the attack goes off. If the Love card reverses then you need to look at Nym when the attack goes off. Failing to do this right will cause you do to the frozen in place sort of charmed dance for a few seconds... which can end up with you being unable to dodge Althyk's follow=up conal cleave attack.
Was gonna say just this. Only had it happen once in several runs but it’s possible.
Man, I thought I hallucinated this attack, ‘cuz I only saw it the first time I did this one and never again! Glad I’m not going crazy!
Yeah, I watched a couple of guides where people were talking about Pyretic/Freeze and I never got either one of those and thought I must've been confused. It also seems like it's only one type of cards regardless of whether you wipe or not.
I've seen love card more times and never seen the pyretic/ice cards

Nophica's Giving Land is based on the arena. It will always hit the center in the flower arena, and always be the donut in the forest. This is much easier to keep track of than watching the attack animation.
ikr just looking at the floor is 100 times easier

The real challenge of Menphina’s fight is not getting killed by Soken by jamming out to Dedicated to Moonlight and forgetting to watch mechanics 😅
how is the music compared to the last raid, i havent gotten here yet? i loved it and it melted my face off. I expect them to do even better in this one.

@@jordanio0825 that is fair, in the balance is quite the banger. But the music nerd in me can't get over the violin solo in dedicated to moonlight.
The second time she casts Floral Haze, players will actually get a short or long timer for it. Short timer means it'll go off with the Giving land after landwalker/gale combo, long timer will go off with the giving land after sowing circle. People die at this part assuming they all have the same timer and misjudge which giving land to adjust their forced march to.
The most important thing you taught me in this video was how to pronounce the raid name :D. Loved watching you in the 24 streamer fiasco.
Considering they kept saying Halone as Halony I am surprised they got Euphrosyne correct. Halone rhymes with bone and has been spoken by voice actors in the game for years. Syne is a Scottish word that rhymes with sign, But Euphrosyne is a Greek goddess and her name is pronounced the way they said it. Also of note is that Euphrosyne and her sisters Thalia and Aglaea (also has been spelled Aglaïa) were daughters of Zeus and the Oceanid Eurynome. I suspect Thalia will be the next in the raid series.

About second Floral haze, it's not always has a longer timer. It can be randomly with a longer or same as first one timers.

you missed a third card in the althyk and nymeia fight... the "look in" or "look out" card depending on if it's reversed or not
This raid was the first time I've had to turn down battle effects, i could not see a thing during Althyk's fight

In the trash fight before Halone, the big donut aoes can be interrupted by tanks or physical ranged dps. Although this will probably never happen if that trash fight in Puppet's Bunker is anything to go by lol
Nope, sadly as a physical ranged I gave up on my interrupt ability cause its use was so niche I just gave up on it and I pop mitigation instead to keep people barely alive

Alot of times it's because I'm not locked onto the monster that has interruptable attacks. If I am, I always use it.
I wish Alliance raids operated the same as normal raids wherein there's only 1 boss per instance. Cramming mechanics of 4 bosses at once is seriously a pain.
Awww, i would also like to summon a good boi from time to time! I would accept some raid wide damage in exchange!

First time i did this recently as a BLM, had no real idea what was happening. Died so many times for my first experience it was pittyful. SO many rescue revive by healers.
So far all of ew post game content has seemed like it would be a nightmare on blm so I just refuse to even attempt to upgrade pst crated gear lol
odd the twin fight i didnt get the fire cards i ended up getting nemias hearth cards were as one of them was pink or green.
Okay, love the guide as always, but also love love LOVE that you pronounced "Euphrosyne" correctly. Not a big deal when others don't of course, but still nice.

i don't get the UI counter nor have i ever seen pyretic/freeze... done the raid 10 times already. did they change something since this video was made? One important note... in our group they killed the dude first while the speedup mechanic was being cast on the towers but before it could complete... this ended up causing a wipe since we all stacked where the speedup was supposed to be but since he was killed before the cast was done, it didn't go off so that actual first tower went off first pushing everyone off the edge. Just be careful of the DPS during that and if the boss is close to dead maybe use your knockback mitigation as a safety.
Play a drinking game where you take a shot whenever she says "or you will die." And you will die. ^.^

Man. I'm just coming back to the game, and I'm so disappointed that Menphina is a magical girl instead of being an icy, beautiful moon goddess with long flowing hair. Like don't get me wrong, I love Sailor Moon, but not in the role of a deity. 😂😭 Menphina's always been my favorite, so suddenly I realize I'd have preferred it if I'd never seen the 12 rendered. 😅
What a undertuned, disappointment of a raid. Undertuned, skipping mechanics on day 1, mechanics take their sweet ass time. Bosses don't even mix their mechanics until 20% health. Why is ilvl 590???? When best gear is 620 max for casuals. Make it 61p or 620 for godssake, and the armor at ilvl 620. What is your team doing YOSHI

brooooooo what in the universe were you doing on the first few bosses in the video rofl glaring for days while people are taking mad dmg then dieing then more take dmg and more die and still glaring then 3rd and 4th person die, you run around and glare some more.... then 2nd boss your ENTIRE GROUP was dead for almost the entire boss while you ran around randomly glareing rofl love the guides but holy smokes that was incredibly painful to watch, that poooooor group lmaoooo "LOOK HOW SHE MASSACRED MAH BOYZ" oh man that was funny, ty for the guides like usual though

@@jaxs616 PLD has a level 26 skill called "Rage of Halone". During the PLD questline, you spend some time in Coerthas, where Halone is worshipped. She also wields a sword and shield like PLD. Well technically a spear and shield, but close enough. And much like her followers in Corethas/Ishagard, PLD has traditionally been tied to religion. A Holy Knight. Which is why to me as a PLD lover, Halone is like our Goddess.
@@almightypalevin8186 that's awesome! She's my favorite. Winter is my favorite season and my house (that I finally got this week!!) is in Empryeum. I really got hooked on FFXIV in HW. I don't remember much of the PLD questline I'll have to go watch some videos to refresh!
