It is a great one off product for discovering how to end your tennis elbow problem minus the normal expense. Ive heard some super things about it and my work buddy got excellent results with it.

    Funny thing about the tennis elbow test from a patient's perspective. If the patient has it, their response won't be subtle. I hissed loudly in pain. Two years post-injury and I still have symptoms.

    Thanks for the video! Please clarify - I thought that with lateral epicondylitis, the patient should have pain with supination and extension of the wrist. Thanks!

    • @Physiotutors
      @Physiotutors  3 роки тому +2

      Agree, don't think we state something different in the video, do we?

    • @Sonny00010
      @Sonny00010 3 роки тому +3

      Supination and extension of the wrist would be stretching the flexors which relates to medial epicondylitis, this video is wrist flexion and pronation of hand to stretch arm extensors which relates to lateral epicondylitis

  • @escueladefuerzaymusculacio90

    can we also like passively supinate , extend wrist, extend elbow? from an elbow flexion 90deg, pronated arm and closed fist

    • @Physiotutors
      @Physiotutors  7 років тому

      Hey Clyde, the goal for this test is to maximally lengthen the extensor carpi radialis longus+brevis, so you would always need maximal pronation, wrist flexion and elbow extension and possibly a bit of ulnar deviation. Which way you build it up does not matter too much, this is just how it was described by Mills.

      +Nene Cuty If we don´t mention any recent articles in the intro of a video, we always refer to 'Magee - Orthopedic Assessment'. You could potentially do this test in sitting as well, might be inconvenient though to extend the elbow!

    what about radial deviation?

    • @Physiotutors
      @Physiotutors  8 років тому +1

      +Eliyah Rosenbluh Hey Eliyah, according to Magee, no deviation movement is described for this test. In order to stress the extensor carpi radialis longus and brevis even more, you would have to perform additional ulnar deviation though, because you try to provoke these muscles through stretch.

      +Nathan Rivera-Melo The test itself can be done in 10s. However, most people appreciate statistical values, an explanation of the steps as well as an explanation what should be done. People that don't can still skip
