@@OBM1770 yeah nice.. be interesting to see how it goes. 200kg doesn't seem enough when you see the violence coming out the back of the boat at speed.. can only try
I had the double sided tape one and it came off, first trip. I did find that my transom was not perfectly flat so the tape was not 100% against the hull. I am running a GT51 Garmin tranny, so much longer and heavier than a P66.
Thanks Mate. I’ve bought the largest stick on job on could get. I haven’t fitted yet but fingers crossed it works! I’ve got that p66 pretty deep would be a lot of pull on it. They say the one I bought is good for 200kg 🤞 will they you know how I get on when we can get out. 👍
Hi Eddie. Thanks for the video another great watch. Stick with the standard mono most people say fluro only works when you get down to say under 30 pounds. What sort of fuel burn do you use on a standard trip? Cheers
Thanks mate. Really appreciate your feedback. I agree, personally think the mono is a better line. More feel. The F130’s run around the 1km per litre combined or better. Best being 1.2km per litre. A reef run for us is usually around the 150 litres.
@@OBM1770 That sounds like pretty good going on the figures! Keep the cooking segments coming. Bite the bullet and install a thru hull you will never regret it. Cheers
Hi Eddie Thanks again for the great video!!! Any chance you can share the depth where you were fishing and the relevant weight of the Berserker jig or whatever the formula should be depth/jig weight, I bought the whole bunch of them of various weights, we were in 1770 a week ago, the biting was very hot on a bait, so we did not get a chance to try the jigs. Also where do you get these blue drums you use for flushing the motors? Kind regards Mike
This was in around the 35m mark on a 100g, chasing the inshore reds. Depth and size really depend on current and whether your drift fishing or on anchor. If you have a variety obviously experiment starting light. Hope you have a drop with one next trip. The bigger fish have been smashing them, usually first up. I have favoured the 100g and 150g in our grounds up to 60m as I’m not usually baiting them but I’ve seen others use the heavier when baiting with success too.
Sorry mate, those drums are usually bought from Gumtree for about $20 each. You will have to cut down with a grinder. You may struggle to fit a bigger motor in them than a 130hp though. 👍
Top little cat the 5.2! Had one for 12 years or so! Good economical fishing machine. Weather has definitely been crappy this year. Thanks for watching 👍
Yeah, thanx Eddie and Snez !🤺 Good one about the inner glove ... eh heh Really good photography, especially with the chest mount, and droning shots. All the editing and content is really good. This video went really quick for me, and am looking forward to more content. Thanks again Cheers Scotty 👍 🎯
Hey Eddie, I think the difference between the two lines is that flocarbon leadder holds memory ,why it's so springy, normal mono is dense and no memory 👍
Good to see the Boat back and running Great session again some nice fish by the master again ,could feel the cold from here looking forward to next one. Is that anti salt solution in the drum and if so how long do you run it through for. Cheers Wombat 🐾👍👍
awesome variety of fish
Nice work mate, great vid. We have Raymarine on ours. Its a 1kw TM trans. But screwed to the hull. Reads to WOT.
Thanks guys. Love ya work too. Going to try the transom saver. 3m tape job, supposedly good for 200kg.

Get a Stern Saver, they come with the glue. I have 2 of them on my Hooker, Don't get the cheap version with double sided tape.
Thanks mate. Appreciate the advice. 👍 I have unfortunately ordered the double sided tape version. I’ll check it out when it arrives.
Love your work, Why do you cryovac your fish with skin on
Just for fish ID and less work on the clean up end mate. Pretty quick to knock off and debone prior to cooking. 👍
Thanks for watching and really appreciate your feedback. 🍻
@@OBM1770 Thank you very mutch... have a nice Weekend.... see you….
Hey mate. Do you stay around the 1770 area or come up Gladstone way
We get up as far as Broomfield Reef mate. Haven’t done any inshore around Gladdy though.
Hard to beat a feed of grasses
100% mate! 👍 Bread n butter!
Love the drone footage guys!!! Very cool to watch 😀
Thanks mate! Hopefully that weather comes good soon 🤙

@@OBM1770 Thanks for detailed response, re drums, I thought so as my motor is F300, need to think of something else 🙂
Have a look at 'stern saver' saw it on quality marine electronics in brisbane. They have a youtube video on it as well
Thanks Donni, I bought one of these to try since filming funnily enough! They look like a good option and as though it should work. 🤞
I’ve got a 5.2 kevla. Geez I wish I lived up there. I run up there from the sunny coast whenever I can but windows are hard to come by lately

Thanks Scotty your feedback is very much appreciated! 👍
Better off paying a shipwright to glass a bracket onto the transom to screw into, takes away any future issues

Thanks Wombat! Yeah mate, I use ‘Salt Away’ 5 min run time per engine. 👍
