- In an exclusive interview, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen joins Power & Politics to discuss support for Ukraine and a new hydrogen deal with Europe, amid a two-day trip to bolster transatlantic ties. 'Ukraine has to win because international law and the UN charter have to prevail,' she said.

1-2 weeks before Russia intervened in former Ukraine, Zelenskyi intensified the bombing and attacks on the eastern remains of pre-2014 Ukraine.
NATO essentially threatened Russia not to intervene and just watch the slaughter unfold. And Zelenskyi just kept on claiming Russia was only bluffing and he could do whatever he wants. His allies warning him for months before his actions would make no sense if he did not initiate the escalation of the conflict in the first place.

Unfortunately, she's trapped in hypocrisy and double think, as is the entire EU. She says here that "foreign interference is unacceptable", yet the EU literally just issued a statement critical of Georgia form tabling a law to limit foreign interference. The same sort of law that Canada is now considering, and the US has had for decades. The EU statement says that such a law does not "represent EU values". And the Ukraine conflict is substantially rooted in western foreign interference in Ukraine that the EU tacitly supports.
