Max Payne 2: Old School Remix brings the atmosphere and gameplay from the first game and puts it in the sequel! With this mod Max Payne 2 now features the original iconic Sam Lake character model (in both gameplay and cutscenes) and some other returning character designs from the first game. Rainy weather is now replaced with snowfall, weapons from the first game make a return and the gameplay now combines with best mechanics of both games.
There's also an optional first-person view and a couple of new missions which bring back some iconic locations from the first game but in a whole new content. Enjoy!

Old School Remix brings back Classic Max, the visual style and atmosphere of the first game and gameplay now combines the best elements of both games. I found this an absolute pleasure to play through as I've always enjoyed the more natural feel of the first game's gunplay. It also fixes bullet-time from being overpowered making shootouts more difficult. There's many more enhancements in this mod but I'll leave that for you guys to discover. Enjoy!

Hey Willzyyy, I would be interested to know what graphical mods you recommend for both games, but ones that don't alter the atmosphere of the two classics. I'd like to maintain the original charm of these games, but also enhance their visual appeal. Do you have any mods in mind that provide a graphics update without changing the essence of the games?

I recommend the HD textures pack and Claimer's Remastered Reshade for Max Payne 1 - I think it looks great!
As for Max Payne 2 - There aren't any decent "remaster" mods that keep the game's original feel. "Payne Evolution" adds too many features from Max Payne 3 and an awkward new character model which looks out of place. I haven't found any standard texture improvement mods or simple Reshades for MP2 unfortunately.
