Just incredible, love the inspiration, you can totally see it in one of the books or movies, i love it. This was interesting to watch and thank you for sharing with us, Stow on the wold seems beautiful!
Found it a few years ago when scrolling the internet for interesting places to visit just glad I remembered it was on the way to Bella knap and really glad I got there
I have seen pictures of it with my obsession with Yew trees and it wasn't till the day before I left to visit the roll rights and belas knap that realised it was on the road between them, well worth it
@@Traveler13 It's a churchyard yew tree with a lot of folklore around it in a Devon village which has more than it's fair share of history and mystery. I touch on it in this other series if you are interested? ua-cam.com/video/ihkEEGuBngU/v-deo.html
Great video, I loved the history and the mystery. I find it fascinating that many of our old medieval Churches were adorned with various stone carvings. These buildings were created with art and a real passion. How bereft modern architects truly are with artistic license, they don't add grotesques, they actually create them✌️
😆 😅Ye that's so true, i hate cities and towns they are ugly and claustrophobic, the older a structure is the more interesting I find them generally and I love a mystery, something to research
Amazing! I could totally see Tolkien seeing this and going yes. We can have a ring that rules them all, and a little race of people called the hobbits that live in these type houses with those doors. What an amazing place! Stow on the wold is beautiful I have been before.
Yes definitely, you can imagine it, hey, it's a must-see place, another off my list lol along with Bellas knap I got to see, top of the list these 2 lol

Love this town and my wife has family from the area! That’s really cool that the yew trees are part of the church opening
Its a very unusual fernomenon, trees growing against a bounding are cut down usually, so these 2 are very lucky, thanks for watching
