Yes, I'm currently nearing the close of my 2nd year and entering my 3rd this August 24'. Actually, once you arrive at your school - technically you are now employed by the actual school/Office of Education and "not" EPIK. EPIK essentially just scouts you to schools and then the school can decide if they'd like to hire you! Around a few months before the end of the contract period, you'll be asked if you want to renew and if you agree there is then a process that involves the school admins agreeing on your contract extension, and a few other factors. You'd also have to pass a health check as well, and attend a contract signing ceremony! That's an abridged version of how I was able to continue at the same school I started at in 2022! If you have further questions, don't hesitate to let me know! Best of luck on your upcoming EPIK journey 🥹 you can do it!!! I'll be explaing some other tips and tricks on how to get into EPIK and more, in future vlogs and cool stuff beyond UA-cam :)) please stay tuned!

As I believe Epik provides you with free housing and you just pay for utility bills. When you continue to work at the same school did you stay in the same housing and was it still provided free for you? Again I can’t find this answer really anywhere so thank you for taking the time to answer and help me out! Your channel has been incredible for people like me🫶🏻🫶🏻

Hi Daevin! I also got my degree in linguistics and am currently working on my TEFL qualification. How useful have you found having a degree in linguistics for teaching in Korea? I'm also hoping to teach in Korea so I'm just wondering if our degree is an advantage in this job :))
