- The folks at Irish Tune of the Week on Instagram ( / irishtotw ) asked me to chuck a tune out into the interwebs and I landed on this one as I don't hear it too often but I'm a big fan of slip jigs so figured it's worth dusting off.
Be sure and check out Irish Tune of the Week for loads of great tunes!

I hear this and something moves inside which tells me that I am alive in a way I cherish and not just in the mundane form of my appearances. Thank you Sir
I don't know if I'll ever be able to learn the penny whistle with all the stress and schedules of life, but I'm truly grateful for this channel because it reminds me that it's still possible and the music you share is healing to the mind. Thank you so much!
Aww thank you for the kind words!
Just learn a simple tune, like The Kesh or On the Ocean and take a whistle everywhere you go. Waiting in the car is a good time. I have a very busy life and I find that playing even for ten minutes relieves stress.
@@jettimite Thank you, Shane! This helps a lot. I needed to see this comment today. :) I won't give up on it.
@@whistletutor Thank you so much for taking the time to reply!
I kee,😊p working on your version w tin whistle. Btw i have 6 tin whistles from late 1800s w lead fipples ive adjusted n painted over the lead. So buttery bird like. Love your posts.
Dude. Love it. Will be rewinding this one a few times 🙃
Thanks once again Sean. Great playing and beauty sounding flute.
While I'm here, thought best to report in on the Irish flute playing. Had the Carbony since June and coming along nicely. It goes everywhere with me. I'm that strange guy in the village who plays it everywhere he goes...and more than cool with that. Hats off to Carbony, they make a wonderful flute.
Sean, thanks again 👍🏽
Nice! I met the Carbony folks at a festival a while back and they do make some nice stuff!
wonderful. love your flute.
Thanks a bunch!
Great 🙏
Cheers!
Very nice!
Thanks!
👌🏻
Lovely tune! What is the name/brand of your flute ? I'm searching for one.....
Thanks, that's the Windward I'm playing there, they're from Nova Scotia and make lovely stuff!
@@whistletutor Well thanks a bunch--I enjoy everything you produce. I will be pursuing the Windward and will absolutely let them know you are a wonderful advocate for this instrument. Thank again-Coop
@@kiddohh100 Yeah definitely check them out - full disclosure, I bought mine secondhand so no endorsement or anything here but if you want to check out my review-type video that I did right after I bought it it's here ua-cam.com/video/4pE80ue0NRw/v-deo.html
Nice sound. I feel like you deserve a larger following 🤔🙄😒
TBH I can't believe there's 18,000 people who are interested enough to subscribe
