Sandi pronounced my hometown province perfectly 💕
I like how the hard-to-translate puns and cultural refernces are explained in the Russian subs.
The translation is horrendous though
I used to write Dutch subtitles and I tried to refrain from doing that too much, unless it was really necessary. In many cases of wordjokes, I'd find a Dutch equivalent and make it into a similar, but new joke.
It's nice that UA-camsubtitles, (back when UA-cam hadn't removed the function for profits yet) give every translator the room to translate in their own way and style. More freedom in comparison to an "actual" translator job.
I think they're Tajik man, the channel has the Tajikistan flag.

I am from Newfoundland. I confess, I have posted on many videos admonishing people on their mispronunciation of our name. Lol. It's simple, really. Newfoundland, understand. They rhyme and the rhythm matches.

There's a Betty Ford bar in Berlin that my friend actually bought the rights to the German title quite quickly so the actual clinic couldn't challenge them legally.
