I've been on a Magura Vyron v2 for just over 4 years and it finally has met the end of its life. It was so good, that as I sit here typing my new Magura Vyron v3 is out for delivery! I almost went with a cable actuated post and it was between the Transfer and Bike Yoke, but in the end, I'm just spoiled with a wireless dropper and Magura was the only option for me because of my 1st hand experience with it as well as being unwilling to pay SRAM's ridiculous asking price for an AXS.

I looked at the current v3 also and I agree first hand experience can make a big difference. Lucky with the current droppers as they are way more reliable than 5 yrs ago

Magura Vyron is imho absolute garbage. V2 as well as V3. Slow, actuation takes forever, etc.
Reverb AXS is absolutely thr best wireless dropper by far!

My Pivot 429 came with a FOX Performance. I hated it. It would get stuck or the lever would lose tension. I swapped it out for a PNW Loam with their lever as well and I love it. I am running one on my hardtail as well.

I love the satisfying sound of the Transfer post. Nice & loud you totally know where you are at top and bottom. the PNW is quiet. I'm not sure if it's hit the top all the time.. it's something to get used to.

I purchased my new Scott genius 900 tuned in 2020. The fox factory wasn't operating properly from the start. "Slowly settling" my bike shop sent it in for service, in the meantime I took my old one off my old bike.
I get the new one back, and the same problem still settling, and my old started acting up. Not coming up anymore. I say I want a completely new dropper. Fox won't budge they insist they will rebuild it again. Same thing happens again after second rebuild. Fox says they didn't have inventory. Even tho I purchased a new one on Amazon the same day since I was down two dropper posts. Fast forward end of the year, I threw away the dropper post that came with the bike after being rebuilt twice it still had the same problem, the new one I purchased lost it's snap and was fading fast, the old one I had sent in to Fox for service worked for about two months while I Sent in the one I purchased on my own.
To some it all up I switched to pnw loam and haven't a problem, still snappy and functioning perfect, and my brother purchased one also after having the same problem with his fox factory. Not too mention half the price to. I will never support Fox again. Oh yeah and I use the wolf tooth lever for my pnw on my fat bike as Scott has their own system

I had the 9point8 Fall Line R @ 150mm, I like it, but it does require maintenance every ~2 years. I ditched it for 175mm dropper (fits me better) and went w the PNW Loam on all my bikes. It's been bullet proof and PNW occasionally has sales where the price drops down to ~$100. I absolutely love it. I'd rather spend the savings in parts that actually help me ride faster. I have the Loam w the Anomaly Switch grade, IMO, an absolute game changer.

@@LoveMTBI've gotten used to it. I'm comfortable switching my seat position while riding (one hand on the bars while pedaling, downhill'ing not so much). Seat is tilted forward always on the climbs. DH, it depends, Neutral if going DH requires occasional pedaling. If DH is "pure DH" or bike park, always seat tilted back to get it completely out of the way while slammed to the collar. It's been solid in wet and muddy conditions. Top tip don't slide them bolts out it'll never line up again!
