While this video is introductory, it actually seems pretty accurate. There really isn't a lot of menu diving in practical use. Anything you might need regularly has a front panel control or shortcut. The global settings are buried, but you don't need to change those much. Step edit is really not needed very often. There are other ways to do most of that stuff. It's just an option. Most everything on this device has multiple methods. If a task is causing a headache, you might just be doing it the hard way. If you can't find an answer in the manual, check the Parameter Guide. It's on the official website. For the synth version, if you are interested in learning more about the oscillators and filters, take a look at the KingKorg Parameter Guide too. That's what they are based on.
A cool aspect of the sampler is that resampling is easy and when there is a ton of automation rolling and FX turning on an off, a sample can be mangled easily and endlessly. They are not perfect but they are inexpensive compared to the Toraiz and Elektron's sampler.
I have one its ok, but it really just sits on my desk for display and I do everything in the box.. Its ok to mess with but really I think the groove boxes are just obsolete compared to powerful DAWs and VST's. And I started off on groove boxes, I get it if your trying to do the dawless thing then by all means this works.
That's very interesting. Do you know KRONOS 2 Workstation from KORG sir klayton ?, it is a powerful synthesizer with a big range of sounds, over 2000, with infinite possibility to change them, all the wires I see in your studio, all your system is integrated in the kronos 2 , with a unique precision, we can modify all the sounds with 16 audio tracks to add instruments, (bass, guitar, our own voice), there is just the KARMA system that I do not understand too much, unfortunate, because the device is very complicated, the only inconvenient, it is the weight, very heavy !!! It was a beautiful birthday present.in november
lol "that crash sucks" that sounded so curt 😂😂
And in the background you see the buchla spaceship ;-) I would dream to have that at my hands... all the cool gear... O_o

Wow, what a great deal. Those things are worth at least $200!
Which one would you choose for ebm, industrial music?
