My music production class the 8yr old girls went so hard once we got to the studio. One of my female students went home and told her family I'm going to be a rapper! She told me before hand she would have more bars for me next week. She came back with 5 pages of bars. When she got to the studio the recording engineer asked me how long have you been working with them? I said 6 weeks! My class sparked a movement for males and females plus so much more a new lane of expression. Priceless! (I have all their recordings ready for them to play for their family.
I remember seeing a video here on youtube from Tiffany Miranda in her studio talking about production. This was at least 5 years ago. Nice to see these two making moves!
Pensado's Place team, just in case you don't know it, on your video panel/settings, there should be an option, to enable automatic captions. i am sure there are people around the world, who only master the English language around 80-90%, and sometimes there might be a word here and there they don't understand, specially when you have guests like Joshua, who not only says 800 words per minute, but also has a crazy accent. it only takes you 1 second to enable it. But hey, maybe it's not very important, the people outside the Us...who can't really attend your shows, nor can buy stuff from sponsors :)
False. The West's obsession with women is unhealthy. Why would anything become "better" if women, who are not interested in this geeky stuff, were coerced/brainwashed into taking part in larger numbers? Men are genetically drawn to this stuff, and better at it.
Being in the music industry has a lot to do with being willing to fight for your ground. Fighting is much more a male character trait, as well as is the love for tools. It's just natural that there are male-dominated areas and female-dominated areas in society. That's fine. Some people of the minority in an area will always feel like they're underrepresented...

You don't feel like there is any sort of subconscious bias against Women Engineers/producers/Mixers/etc? I feel like it is pretty obvious. Most people are inclined to believe women CAN'T produce/mix as good as a man. For the most part, I don't think it's an issue with the industry or the people in it.....I think it's just people aren't used to see women in this profession, so it catches them off guard.
Anonymous genetics make no sense cus this tech came only a few decades ago. genetics develop over 100's to 1000's of years. You don't see as many females in the industry producing so I guess that's why there aren't a lot of female producers

Men have pattern recognition ability more oriented toward objects and spacial skills rather than people/emotions, way more IQ outliers, and more testosterone for achieving goals outside the cave in competitive fields.
