Looks like you guys were kinda busy out there. Some good teamwork too. Still waiting on the story of the sunk 5 Ton you teased the other day. Take it easy out there man, and stay safe.
Call in the Drag'ems. That was some stuck right there. With that Dozer, it didn't have any choice but to move whether in one piece or more. You guys found a nice solid piece to hook to. Not an easy feat on one of those land yachts.
We are the official Sponsor of the event so luckily nobody gets a tow bill at this event! We have been promoting and supporting numerous Off Road events in the area for over 20 years and it's our way of giving back.
Was that Lincoln swinging the camera today? He had some great commentary. It was quite entertaining. Hope you guys have a great time this week at the take over.
Casey those are very entertaining rescues, love the 5 ton dancing in the mud whiles it pulls that motor home and trailer. Thanks for sharing and we still get a kick from your end credits, stay safe .
Hey Casey !! WOW !! Didn't think you guys were gona pull that off !! Yepper !! The Manufacturers DON"T even think about putting tow hooks on ALL four corners of those $$ 250K Motor homes !! Have a good week & till the next ""Come along for the ride ""!!!
White bus and trailer starting at 8:40 brought Moby Dick to mind. Too bad you were busy at UTV Takeover, it would have been fun to see 6-8? mule team recover Ed’s Suzuki in the Sierra Mountains.
8:20 I hear ya Casey. Put good out in the world, you get good in return. Always good to see the 5ton putting in work. Anytime you get the ole girl stretching her legs makes for a good vid. Looks like she’s got new meats under her too. Or you just some good old tire shine on. Looks good regardless. Appreciate what you guys do.
Thats NOT defeat.....thats QUICKSAND....Landyacht's on the beach. VIP parking must mean you have to pay extra to get unstuck........Great work from your young cinematographer...Keep'em coming
That's got to be the longest pusher motor home without a tag axle I've ever seen. I bet it eats tires like Cheerio's. Novel idea to pull participants into place, then pull them out at the end of the event.
That all white motorhome with an all white trailer, towed by the white 5 ton--what's it called? Blackout! Irony. Is that thing made of lead? Maybe it needed pontoons! Great video!
Bringing a large RWD camper PLUS a large trailer so close to the water's edge seems like a sure bet to get stuck - and that was even before the dozer's blade revealed a wet sheen of liquefaction as soon as the top couple of inches was disturbed.
The reason Motorhomes don't come with hookups? Probably not recommended to be OFF-ROAD! That would be the antithesis with the theme of your UTV 2021 activities. Off-Road and Off-Payment=Fun!
I think there's a reason they don't put recovery hooks on those giant motorhomes. Besides $$$$. They don't think people are going to places like sand hollow. 🤔
Also if you put a towing/recovery point on then you open yourself to claims if someone rips it in half because they were actually stuck on a rock or something
Thank you for making us a part of the Takeover event through this video. You are a busy man Casey always making your subscribers a priority with top quality content means a lot. I do have a question is it a good idea to have motorhomes at Sand hollow since they don't have tow hooks? That makes it more of a challenge when they get stuck
It's just all lockers underneath, the generator is up front and the tanks are between the lockers and the inside floor. So it's basically 'floating' on sand, the locker boxes may be tweaked though. Bottom line though, it's a pavement vehicle, keep it on the road.
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery oh.....thanks for the reply....however, I'm from the UK, and non the wiser, sorry! ATV we know here, maybe some of us know UTV but I'm not one of them! Wait! Found it! Its not Ulster TV (Northern Ireland TV channel) but Utility Terrain Vehicle! There is not enough acronyms in the world you know. Unless you are military of course.
That was pretty bad how that thing just dropped. I mean in the space of 12 inches it dropped 12 inches. Almost lost a backhoe in soil exactly like that. Walk on it and it's solid and dry. Drive onto it and you sink. Let the engine idle for a few minutes and you're now sitting in 6 inches of water where the soil is undisturbed. It's a scary feeling when that happens.
This may be stupid question but here goes . When they have big event or lots of people camping would it make any difference if you had a big roller compact the sand or is the sand so loose it won't compact ?
It looks like 'ooblek' sand. Saturated with water, it's got weird properties, if you go fast on it, seems solid, go slow, it's liquid. But the 'solid' only works to a point, too much pressure and it 'breaks' and you sink. I've been on land like that, cars driving, left a wake in the land that followed the car.
Sure hope that motorhome is ok. Some serious force was applied dragging the axles through the soft stuff. Cant imagine what there was to "properly" hook on to with the rope. Still, they HAD to come out one way or the other. Air lift is not an option.
My former Fire Department had two military 6x's & I could put them boys anywhere the fire was taking us (within reason of course), but we had a lot of people on the FD that were afraid to drive them & the rest of them couldn't drive a manual tranny! LoL
You wouldn’t catch me getting my motorhome dragged through the sand. Most wont let a tow truck tow them without a low profile under reach wheel lift. I don’t think the front axles are recommended to hook on to.
I may not always have a comment but always a thumb up!!
Well that brings a whole new meaning to sand drags😱😬😏
👍👍
At the end... kids starting to play in the big mud hole !
Looks like you guys were kinda busy out there. Some good teamwork too.
Still waiting on the story of the sunk 5 Ton you teased the other day.
Take it easy out there man, and stay safe.
Love the kid who was holding a camera: "This looks like a problem."
I looked and the video was already 48 min old. Damn I’m slipping! Love your Channel Casey! Should be on motor trend!
❤️ Finally off for two days and watching on the 82" instead of the phone 🤳 screen! 👍👍😂
About time ya work a holic
Glad to see the old 5 tone up and rolling
I love the “credits” at the end, all the one liners in one shot. Makes me laugh all over again
That is the coolest truck in the world history of trucks!
Thanks for taking us along. Wow that was deep!
The young man doing the taping did a wonderful job.
Now that was a swamp hole to get stuck in! The dozer got him out though!
Wow that was a pull thanks for sharing Casey you never disappoint 👍👍
Having the right tool for the job!! You guys work GREAT together!!
Love seeing the 5 ton in action but man is that Dozer powerful!
They are no doubt. Of the 3 we have here this week, this one is the king 👑
Selecting another tool in your toolbox to finish the job is not defeat, it’s just getting the job done.
Yeah boy !!! Happy Saturday Buddy!!!! I just released another vid last night!!!! Keep up the great work! I didn't think that bus was comin out!
That was some real soft ground.
Lucky we didn't lose the dozer.
Nice of you to be out there helping people out Casey. That sand is some crazy stuff.
Motorhome sand bogging almost looks like it could be a sport. LOL
I want a 5 ton with Casey's Off Road Recovery on the side to drive around here in NY.

So these campers willingly got stuck...amazing!
So. You drag them in, they're stuck for the event, then you drag them out at the end. Interesting. Looks like fun!
espacially for your pocket
Often done like that at pismo Beach in California. Drive till you can't go any further and pay for a pull out

OMG that second motorhome looked like it was swiming. Crazy shit! 😂

Almost had to call in the Huey's! Get that Chinook!!
Casey, I love your videos. You kill it with those credits at the end of each video!
Nice work! Thanks for sharing!
Love Utah !!!!!!!
When I saw they were having rv spots on the beach for the utv takeover I knew there would be some serious stuck units.
Im always amazed that people are willing to take these massive expensive behemoths out into the sand in the first place

Ye've got a mighty clean windshield there good sir. Especially the inside. It meets my standards.
Also, liquifaction is fun to deal with.

@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery Oh yeah… the teaser video. Waiting patiently. 🥸

That was a real Beach to get out.
This was just the tip of the iceberg!
Great job! I will never understand people’s willingness too ruin 6 figure rv’s in the sand.
Nice job casey.

That dozer's big enough its coming out or its getting ripped in half.
Yup my 5 ton knows
So when's Shelby going to start doing recoveries with the 5 ton?
Looks like another Lofthouse coming through the HS wrestling ranks this year at mtn crest. Looking forward to see him keep up the legacy.

I wouldn't drive one on the beach, but some do just fine.... We find good tow points and keep the ripper low. We can get em out no problem
When do we get to see how the 5 ton got in the lake? And how it got out... 😏
It's coming
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery Thanks, I can hardly wait, and I wonder if we'll get to see the look on your face - and on the miscreant's... 😂
Wow, that was really soft.
That class A sure looks heavy for single rear axle, but the dozer has to be at least 50K pounds that would not be fun to dig out in a sink hole.
It was making the ground shake
That's crazy. That's a lot of $$ being tugged through the sand. That can't be good for those big rigs

Wow. That motorhome was stuck.
Perplexed was my mood 😂
270 motorhomes in Sand Hollow… bring your dozer and 5-ton and you're right on the money!
We ended up with 560 in the sand pod and 170 on the beach. What a week
The toys people spend their money on is mind boggling.
My buddie Glen (Plake) said he only parks on hard ground when visiting your part of the world.

Do you air down the tires on the 5 ton
Yes 20 lbs
Wowzers!!
Need to get a set of tracks for the 5 ton 😂😂
I have looked into them

do you air down the 5 ton ?
