I was afraid on the slow mo shot, the arrow was going to hit the second Buck on the pass through.

I am somewhat new to bow hunting and personally I don’t see a reason to aim that low like on that second deer especially with a crossbow can someone change my mind or explained that to me
That’s where the heart is, great shot placement. Also you will rarely see a deer raise up on the string, they’ll have to drop first. So if they drop you have lots of room to work on aorta and double lung before getting into a high shot that may not be lethal.
That arrow was perfect, and where you should aim to shoot with a bow. If it happens to go 6-8” higher due to you pulling the shot or the deer jumping the string you’ll still be fine.

Ok thank you for your comment. Where do you hunt? In south TX there is little to no food plots in that area. Deer depend on corn and feeders to eat besides browse. So that’s why we hunt over corn there. To each his own.
