I've watched TWD since it first aired and watched countless reaction vids in the 10 years of the show, you'd think I'd be burned out on hearing people talk about it. Your take on the episodes are really great because you're so invested and you TALK about it, not like some recappers who just point a camera at themselves and never say more than a few words. It feels like I'm enjoying the show all over again. Great job.

At the end of the day it was Daryl's decision to leave. He knew the group would never accept Merle and he didn't want to leave him behind again. Andrea has a tendency to get hypnotized by the "D" when she hooks up these guys and that they can do no wrong until she sees otherwise but by than its usually to late.
Rick is a little loopy after losing Lori, it's a shame that it happens when Sasha's and Tyreese's group meet him when he's in that mindset.
I get why Daryl left. Daryl has 40 years (give or take) with Merle, so yeah...even with Merle's flaws and the close bonds Daryl has formed with Rick, Carol and the rest of Team Family, he feels compelled to stay loyal to his brother. Deep down, he probably feels guilty for not leaving the group to continue searching for Merle, even though that wouldn't have been a smart choice. Now that Daryl has found his brother again, he can't just turn his back on him.
At the same time, it's really hard to blame Glenn and Maggie for not wanting Merle around, even for Daryl's sake.
One of my favorite moments in the episode was Carol proving Daryl right (after Glenn asked Daryl what they should tell her about why he left, and Daryl replied that she would understand). She not only understands how hard it is to free yourself from dysfunctional/toxic/abusive relationships, but she also understands that "Daryl has his code. This world needs men like that."
Another good point you made was about how every time someone leaves the prison, that could be their last time to see each other. But the same is actually true in real life, if you stop to think about it. You never know when there might be a car accident or some other event that suddenly takes a loved one away. We should all take a page from Team Family's book and remember that and put it to practice in our everyday lives. As for the show...RIP Oscar. 😢
Rick let the prisoners stay in another cell and Andrew (the prisoner who looked like he died but then set off the alarm and brought in walkers) ended up indirectly getting Lori and T-Dog killed Rick feels responsible for it all and that’s why when he’s about to let Tyreese Sasha Ben And Allen stay he sees the ghost of Lori The ghost reminds him of how his past decision led to the death of his wife and T-Dog at least in his mind it does Subconsciously he doesn’t want to make that mistake again and let these new people in which if they are bad people then they could get someone killed from that decision.

I think Rick’s breakdown after Lori’s death was only the beginning It’ll keep getting worse until he gets help or when someone he cares about is killed by his actions (like when he froze in Woodbury causing Oscar’s death)
everyone relies on Rick. In the face of the apocalypse. Sooner or later the tension had to affect him somehow.
I think in the situation that Rick sees ghosts is interpreted too much into it Just belongs to his processing process He hears that Lori is dead turns around slaughters all zombies talks to the ghosts on the phone then Glenn and Maggie are kidnapped he sees Shane and now his wife The man is just under the steam all the time He has neither slept nor rested or probably dealt with the situation It is clear that he is crazy.
Rick feels responsible for everything. Oscar may not have been apart of the group long but his death and Daryl leaving is weighing heavily on him. Rick hasn't even gotten over the loss of Lori either.

maggie didnt shoot a little girl, she shot one of philip's female soldiers who was smiling and egging on the fight. Rick's issues I think are largely guilt related, Lori died while they were still pretty much at odds with each other so he never got to forgive her or say goodbye and I also think he mostly blames himself for the other deaths the group have had to deal with up to this point. He hasnt really coped with any of it and he hasnt been sleeping then add on all the shit thats going on, the stress is messing with his already messed up psyche.

Episode 12 will give you exactly what you asked for, more Rick character development and a way out of the madness. It's the best episode of the season. Acting wise, it's probably the best episode of the entire series. Can't wait to see your next reaction to that one next week!

U gotta catch the details bro. The governor didn't just pick out Merle for no reason. Merle is the reason penny died and he lost his eye. Merle lied about his mission to eliminate michonne. He lied about her escape and killed a young soldier to cover it up. The governor just punished his actions
It is kind of funny that the actress that plays beth is like 30 years. I was shocked when i found out.

Andrea is a pick me. Even with finding out that she has no power with the governor she still didn't choose her friends. She didn't want to cook or clean. Nope she prefers to shoot and be the girlfriend of the guy with power.
