I attended the Mestalla as an away fan - Valencia vs Sevilla.. I have to say, yes it is old and faces some issues, but it has so much character and the fans made it more beautiful.
Crazy to think that Valencia is now staving off relegation, developing players to then sell on and just holding on being in La Liga to help reduce their debt as their aims. Yet Atlètico, R Sociedad & Sevilla are basically achieving what Valencia wanted to do 7+ years ago. Got to hope Los Che don't do a Malaga due to board incompetence.
They even renovated/"face lifted" the old Mestalla a couple years ago. As you can see in the clip! With new orange/black seats, including the large bat. And also from the outside it looks like a state-of-the-art stadium today. The only thing missing is a rooftop. Which isn't really necessary in Valencia. The Nou Camp also only had one roof. Covering 20% of seats. I remember that when Valencia announced to build a new stadium, they _(the president)_ even wanted to build the largest stadium in Spain. Even topping Camp Nou. But also the final version looked very impressive! Today I would just remain in the old and legendary Mestalla!
Is there any updates on Nou Mestalla? sadly the owners of this club were not loving the city of Valencia that much Personally for me, Nou Mestalla could be a magnificent stadium to visit😭🥺
😮🙏 Baffling why such an iconic Spanish La Liga Football Club like Valencia f.c. not abled to finished their Nou Mastella Stadium , with so many Overseas' fan base! If together with the World famous Valencia Race Track & Spanish Tourism Authority & other International eager investors , surely this Valencia f.c. Nou Mastella Stadium can become a reality! 🙏 Long Live Valencia f.c.! 🙏🌷🌿⚽️🌍✌💜🦇🇪🇸

The old football stadiums are so much better than the new ones. Not sure what's worse, the stadium fiasco or appointing Gary Neville as manager😂
Tottenham’s and Atletico stadiums join the chat
Old stadiums are better if you aren’t actually going to them. The only thing they have over new stadiums is the nostalgia factor.
