6:24 Yes, it’s very expensive given the location and ambiance. However, they don’t just try to scam foreigners but also people from other states. It’s best to ask for the price before placing your order. Honestly, it’s sad that happens, but when you are traveling in developing nations, you really need to be street smart.
The taxi guy scammed you, he took you to a place where he would get a commission for bringing you there.. no garlic naan in the world should charge Rs 500.. its just a bread & would cost 10 to 15 Rs at a roadside stall. At a decent restaurant it should cost not more than Rs 30 per piece. Always ask few local guys (not the tour guides, or the people who want to sell you stuff) & most people would love to help you out with correct information.
It may cost you Rs 100 or over in small restaurants too, depending on the place. Eateries near tourist spots or remote areas may be costlier even when not fancy. One should plan ahead and check the prices beforehand.
As an Indian who has lived in Varanasi and Agra my advice would be that find restaurants on your own or use google to guide you to places to eat. Tourist buses and taxis/autos take you to places which overcharge and give these drivers commissions later
Hey, you guys should definitely visit Tadoba National Park. It has the best tiger sighting chances in my opinion, especially Adegaon or Moharli gate. I'm going there since my childhood, and one thing I can say is Tadoba never disappoints❤
What a pleasant surprise! Didn't expect to see you guys back here so soon. Sad reality about scams in India, be vigilant everywhere. Hope you get to experience more and have better travel experience. Maybe try visiting the North East states like Assam for Wildlife Safari in Kaziranga National Park. Or other states and experience their local food and scenic beauty.

The tiger is our national animal, and we have fiercely protected it through a program called "Project Tiger" since 1973. So, when I read your title, I was shocked. Hunting tiger in India! What?!😅😅. I understood that you were trying to see one in a national park.
Most tigers comes to hunt at night. If you see i my home is close to rajaji tiger reserve, uttarakhand india. So always during night tiger / leopard they come in night near our field and we can clearly see their foot prints in morning. See thing about tiger is its not like lion that roam freely. But tiger personality is to more like the one that good at hiding and then prey. So with luck we need good eyes to spot them clearly.

@4:20 Sister! Never buy from such shops where the guide or cab driver takes u to buy coz they have commission there and things sold there will be overpriced. Like there was no way that food was worth ₹3000. It's not a 5 star hotel or something. Looks like they just ripped u off.
Don't get your hopes high. Only 10% of the trips into the park see Tigers. Tigers are solitary creatures, but I am surprised that u didn't hear Deer or Monkey calls also. Also, Crocodiles, maybe zone 5 doesn't have the big water bodies where they soak the sun. Maybe staying at Ranthambore and then going for the early morning safari would be better. I noticed only large Canter vehicles, as the smaller jeeps make it quieter and also lots available in the early AM.
Yea so it's rare to sight tigers since the forest is very large and the paths of safaris are fixed like the one which you did canter one. Also tigers are territorial so you won't find many at one place also they are nocturnal so the best time to spot them is at the dawn. Also you car try jeep safaris as its path is not that fixed and you can wait at a spot for a long time or follow tiger trail etc. But yea forest are huge and it's just matter of luck but once you see it's totally worth it. I had been to Jim corbette did 3 safaris one was canter one ( bus with many ppl like yours) spotted two tigers in the 3rd one also just when we were entering forest
The best place is come to Nandankanand Zoological park in bhubaneswar, odisha of India , there you will see a lot of tigers roaming just near you and you will be standing behind the fencing

That starting lunch (Rs 3000) ... very expensive for a place that is not too fancy. Name that restaurant and shame them for being so ridiculously expensive (even though most Rajasthan restaurants in places like Jaipur and other tourist spots are on the expensive side).
Ignore all the beggars (especially the ladies with kids). They are usually all part of a beggar-mafia that makes tons of money from the thousands of beggars that each mafia employs. They are professionals in making themselves look pathetic.
Don't be too upset by the Tiger safari ... there are about 90 tigers in Ranthambore (highest number of all national parks) and still, 95% of the time, most people never get to see a tiger (they are very well camouflaged). I have myself been on 2 different safaris and did not get to see any tigers.
