took off from LA on march 19 and landed in japan march 20, so i lowk missed my bday lol
i've been looking forward to this mom-daughter trip since the year started. it was my mom's first time in japan (and flying abroad in general!!) so not only was it a fun time for me, but it's also exciting seeing someone you love experience something new like this :)
for part 1 of my japan diaries we explore tokyo: visiting shinjuku, shibuya, akihabara, asakusa, kamakura, gotemba, and more. i feel like we did so much in those 5 days before heading to kyoto. lots of food & shopping, and waiting in lines for instagram recommendations LOL. now we know. tokyo's such a huge place though, there's so much more on my list that we didn't get to see! i already wanna go back~

oh... cloud egg... we call that meringue in the south. my grand mother use to put it ontop of banana pudding and put it in the oven with the door open to toast it. u take ur eye off it for a second and it will burn. wow totally forgot about that. this has been a fun vlog.
