The first time I heard Cynic, they was opening for Cannibal Corpse. LOL! Strange like-up. Just as strange as when I seen Myrkur open for Behemoth. All good bands, just not ones that I would've expected on the same bill.
Keep going strong brother. Depression is a living thing, like a wave creating in and out of the ocean. For my whole adult life, I believed depression was inherit to my being, but its just an expression of an emotion that I became attached to and became chronic. Keep that Spark alive in your heart, you are never alone.
Like addiction, depression is a disease. That motherfucker wants you dead. It's sole purpose is to kill you. Every single day Depression is doing push-ups and getting stronger. You must be stronger, you must be willing to go to the depths of the root issue. Face yourself. and in the words of Gandalf the White: "Whatever comes through that gate you will stand your ground!"
I love the clean/harsh vocal balance on this album. The harsh vocals are used sparingly, but effectively. They pack a punch that I missed in the most recent album (which is still really good).
Lyrics Space, raise my arms Space, wake my eyes Space, grace my heart Can I be the space for this Soft omens Traced in air Phantom warnings Disassembling the captain?s chair Can I be the space for this Will I be the space for this Breathe out, breathe in Out of ruins We?ve haunted like owls The future druids Drop the crystal goblet forming spells Can I be the space for this Will I be the space for this Breathe in, breathe out Must I bend the sky to realize A bundle of thoughts On a dirty cloth perfumed To tell you who you are A bundle of thoughts On a lonely ghost pursuit Lost inside the space for this Raise my arms Space, wake my eyes Space, grace my heart Can I be the space for this Will I be the space for…
Every day i have to listen these drum fills, it gets so emotional with the bass, always joyful to hear this. This drummer was phenomenal, so technical and with great feeling.
Just saw this as on 'Loudwire' (a website magazine) that named this album as the second best of 2008. Listened through the first song and into the second song and yup it's good. It called them 'jazz-fusion tech-death icons' and I say thanks cause now I can sort of identify what this sound is I'm hearing.
they got some recognition actually, this album is much older than this upload and hence the low views and comments. They were also super influential on some other bands, compare Born Of Osiris' Discovery to this album and Focus, it's amazing
This is one of the greatest pieces of music I've ever heard. Cynic is a gem.
This is one of the best metal albums I've ever heard.

One of the greatest rock/metal songs ever written. Masterpiece. Paul's compositional brilliance is un-measurable.
This exiting, emotional and enthusiastic music helps me fighting my depression.

Lyrics
Space, raise my arms
Space, wake my eyes
Space, grace my heart
Can I be the space for this
Soft omens
Traced in air
Phantom warnings
Disassembling the captain?s chair
Can I be the space for this
Will I be the space for this
Breathe out, breathe in
Out of ruins
We?ve haunted like owls
The future druids
Drop the crystal goblet forming spells
Can I be the space for this
Will I be the space for this
Breathe in, breathe out
Must I bend the sky to realize
A bundle of thoughts
On a dirty cloth perfumed
To tell you who you are
A bundle of thoughts
On a lonely ghost pursuit
Lost inside the space for this
Raise my arms
Space, wake my eyes
Space, grace my heart
Can I be the space for this
Will I be the space for…
More people NEEDS to hear this
From 4:11...ohm...it's too good for this planet

Probably listing a re-issue date.
