Michael,Michael, Michael. no more pulling up potential splody bits. What a wonderful day, some great finds Honestly my favorite was the phone. I started my telecommunications career working on the old rotary phones, and rebuilding WWII bag phones and Vietnam era phones. It's absolutely fantastic seeing that piece of history come out is the river.
Thanks James 🤗

you need a pinpointer metal detector to go thru all that mud
fantastic team, great finds, fantastic round up, fantastic video. Thanks gain!! Like you're channel very much, also the drone and the historic information.
Thanks so much for your kind words 🙏
Lots more to come from us
As an undiluted Yank, i am more grateful each time i watch Peaky Dippers that i paid close attention to Peaky Blinders. American dialects are not all so easy either😂😂
Paula lol, bless you. X
What fun!
Mouse is so beautiful
Hi guys 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Hi George and Shannon x
❤😊
Thanks for sharing. Luv the mouse stop maybe you can put some gun bluing on it.
Thanks 🤗
👍👍👍❤❤❤
I am so glad you did not paint the little mouse. My opinion on antiques is that the age is the beauty. Rust and all.
Yes lw,
I'm going to leave it original as we found it, like you say it shows the patina
I actually have a pair of wooden “mouseman” book ends somewhere Steve 😂👍
Found you through Northants' channel. Magnet fishing looks like a lot of fun. Cheers from Canada.
Bless you Bill 🙏
Keep watching, lots more to come for history hunting
Love the mouse - I have a couple of pieces of 'mouseman'
Gipsy,
What a find and we love it x
Love watching your stuff good fun! But I’m going to call you on that solid shot you lot found. It’s a British 25 pounder practice round, fired by a British 25 pounder Field gun.
Thanks Robin 🤗
Thanks Robin, I did actually say its a 25pounder solid shot.
If you watch to the end of the video I describe it more
No problem, I’m ex Army so know a little about big things that go bang! 🤪
Kissing the Boss Marie 😂❤❤❤
Love you all 👍🥰
You folks are legends! That mouse is champion, but is that bomb a gift from Hitler? Bloody hell, I'd be worried about tapping at that monster. Best of luck to you all!
Thanks James,
Ues the mouse was a refreshing change to find, I hate finding bombs unless we can see that they're empty as such
You guys are great😅
Hi guys , i know you love your history, it was Robert mouseman Thompson, who carved a mouse on every piece he carved kilburn north yorks is where there is still a workshop. Youve got to keep your marbles in a jar , so you dont lose them , lost mine too. 😂❤ X
Thanks for the information sallie xx
You could do with one of those small cheapo pin-point metal locators to check through the sludge from boxes.
association of churches and mice was first recorded in 1682 by the English author Thomas D’Urfey, as in 'as poor as a church mouse' and it is said that this phrase is the origin, in 1919, of Robert (Mouseman) Thompson's nickname, as he started to carve a mouse as an identifier from this time. He was born on 7 May 1876 and died 8 December 1955.
Just came over from Nicola White’s channel 😊 subscribed.Looking forward to binging your channel. Deb from British Columbia ,Canada
Welcome to our channel
We have lots to come and as much history as we can find.
What’s the intro music ? Love it
Karliene, walk with the devil
Hello from Brunswick Ohio I absolutely enjoy your videos. I just wish I could understand what your saying ❤❤😂 lol keep your videos coming ❤❤❤😊
Thanks for watching us lee.
We don't know what we're saying ourselves half the time lol.
Plantafachie itus you have (not spelt right lol) I suffer with that not nice take care great video x
Thanks Susan x
It's alot better now I'm on lots of medication and yes it was painful xx
+ 25.39 maybe a piece of a TV roof-antenna from the 60's / 70's
Yes could be
Planter facitis ? I have that 😊
Waiting for you to bring up Kryton!
Peaky, in the round up, the long spikes, do they have a loop at the one end. If so, then they could be needles for tufting rugs, or carpet. Could there be a mill close? I've seen those long needles at several carpet mills here in Georgia. Near Atlanta is the capital of the Carpet industry. I love Marie's mouse wedge!
Thanks so much for the information Mary x
We will be sure to look into this x
What kind of shell did the cannon that Nigel found use
hi I have a question how did you get started magnet fishing
Were not flails used to knock wheat of the stalks in the early days???
I only know it as a weapon tbh
Planar facilitis or something similar .....been there, done it, got the inserts to prove it. Bl.......y painful! Mouseman
Freeze a water bottle and roll your foot on it got rid of my planar facilities, I had it really bad. Great video
How did you clean the really crusty rusty bits?
I use nail scissors ti cut crud away then rub under a tap
Your little mouse might shine up with gun metal Polish
Thanks Chris, great idea
What strength magnets do you recommend? Thank u
Hi Donna we recommend the evo 80 from online magnets.
It's Lightweight but really strong, if you purchase any magnets from the above company use peaky10 for 10% off your purchase
How do you know where abouts to fish a river so u dont lose your magnet guys thanks
We just hit the bridges luke, there's always the gamble of loosing a magnet unfortunately but we try and avoid metal bridges and do the brick ones
Don't think the mouse doorstep is that old as I have 2 of them (not from magnet fishing)
We love it, we not too fussed if not old.
Just nice to see it have a new life
Planter fasciitis think that’s how it’s spelt, I have it also on both feet. 😩
Hey Annette,
Yes it's damn painful xx
Your intro is way too long
Oh well ,it is what it is unfortunately x
